  1. London - who is actually the featured back - rushed for 940 YDS, 9 TDS on 164 carries. Pleasant - who is on the field offense, defense & special teams - rushed for 843 YDS, 7 TDS on just 82 carries. If the game @ East Jessamine don't get called due to weather, then Scott could have had two backs go over 1,000 YDS on the season. But they definitely gel very well together sharing the back field(accounting for over 60% of Scott's scoring). They could arguably be the top 1-2 punch in NKY). To be considered a top dual threat on a statewide level, they'd have to lead Scott deep into the playoffs. Not sure they can do that without a passing game.

Well said ..50 yard liner !! I agree !! Hopefully a big season for these boys and the rushing attack offense, and hopefully a fresh confident passing team to balance it !!! Go Eagles !!

  2. I am not certain on Scott's 2 running backs numbers , but I look for them both to produce very large numbers , and don't be surprised to see Nelson Perrin take some carries as a wing back . He will be a sophomore, and has speed and will be a good 3rd threat in the Eagles back field .

  3. Ryle's line is going to be thier weakness , and a good team starts there with a line . They have great backs , but the line is an important role . I also believe there is too much hype on the quarterback....don't be surprised if he is a bust in 6A. You are only as good as your supporting cast allows you to be . recievers, lineman .

  4. I was talking Raider football with a Ryle parent and they said there is a "competition" going on for the position and that both boys look great.

They definitely have two good athletes competing, so best of luck to both.[/quote I am sure O'Hara is being given the dog and pony show ....compete for it ...but unfortunately... They already know what they are doing !! I wish both boys the best of luck and the good ole boys from union too . O'Hara should of gotten out of there months ago and transfered to a school that could of utilize his quarter back skills . Great family !! Wish them all the best !!

  5. Did Tucker play his grade school ball in the BCPWFL?

Yes Tucker played since he was 4 turning 5 . He was forced to play ball out there , because of the weight limit that used to exist in kenton County. He was always a big kid for his age . Played Raiders, Broncos, Razor backs for 1 season then as 8th grader he played freshman ball at boone county high school and received offensive and defensive lineman of the year . Family moved to Taylor Mill during his 8th grade season , in which he became an Eagle , his younger brother is over here too from Bcpwfl . Their father was alumni at Scott.

  6. Why would your ACT score need to be a 25 or great to play D1 football? Ivy leauge is a 26 that's a tier 1 offer. I believe they can only have 2 kids with Thats score per class the rest go up for there.

Ivy League. You will be paying unless the stundent is very smart or the families income is very low.

All good points !! He is very young, so I am sure this is only the beginning to his exposure, and he is a great student, it will be exciting to see where he will end up in a couple of years !!

  7. Gage has had several camp invites (personal ones) and generic informal invites for this spring and summer to attend. James Madison University, Princeton University, University of Louisville, Lindsey Wilson , and Vanderbilt . The other camps other than these were generic invites . He will be attending Uk lineman camp out of the generic non personal invites .

  8. Who are the players that have received invites? And to what camps? Majority of stuff you receive in mail or emails is an automated message. Have any of them been recruited yet? What year are they?

These are all great questions !! I can not say rather or not for sure what kids are being actively recruited, as far as camps many kids are invited to camps but i am sure the couple I do know of that recieved personal invites are going to be juniors and Seniors . I am sure the camps have either seen them on highlight films or profile or the athletes visited the camp prior summers . I would say Rice, London, Pleasant, are the main seniors attending camps . As far as juniors or under classman I am not sure .

  9. I know several kids , from Scott High school will be attending camps. Majority of the schools send out email invites , and some are personal invites, so they can see the individual player in person. The athletes are individually responsible for payment of camp . NCAA rules. Majority of the ones invited to a camp will be either juniors or seniors this upcoming season . Position varies between skilled players , and a couple of lineman from Scott' s program . Good luck boys and have a huge summer !!!

  10. NKY really does have a stable of great backs.

The one I'm really looking forward to seeing is one that played behind a great back last year and didn't really get too many opportunities but then again he was only a Sophomore and that is Cameron Barrett for Dixie.

We also can't forget Beechwood's back either.

I think it's easier to count the teams that may not have a great RB on their roster this year in NKY than it would be to count the teams that do.

I agree !!! I forgot to even mention Barrett, I actually will see him in person as well , as Scott picked up Dixie on the schedule with the others I had mentioned.. Plenty of talent in nky for sure

  11. There are so many good backs , in the northern ky schools this season . I am excited to get the opportunity to see both Powell and Smith play in person finally. I have gotten to see Armstrong, and I was impressed. I like what Lloyd is bringing in the backfield and ofcourse Scott Eagles won't be to shabby at the run offense as well !! Can't wait for a fun season , Good luck to all these guys.

  12. It's a sliding scale the higher gpa the lower act the score can be. However that's just for the NCAA each individual school has its own acceptance requirements.

Great !! Thanks for the clarification, I wasn't positive on how all that worked? I had just heard each school is different, and that was one of the schools particular guidelines. That is helpful knowing sliding scale between the 2 scores . Thanks !!
