I thought that was the case as well, however in 2025 Dixie v Campbell Co was the week of the varsity opener & played before the varsity. Reasoning was the game was scheduled for early Oct at CC. They had a schedule conflict and asked to move it to Dixie. The only open date that week in Oct was Dixie's homecoming parade. So it was moved up to start before the varsity.

JV's played even the remainder of the 3rd quarter. Freshman were supposed to play the 4th quarter and Lloyd decided to cut the scrimmage short and the frosh got 2 sets of 5 & 5. Lloyd was a froshmore team vs Dixie's frosh. Dixie won 6-0

The Dixie at Lloyd scrimmage has been moved to Friday at 6pm due to a power outage at Lloyd.

Hope the weather cooperates and we can get the whole scrimmage in.

McNick scored 3 times on methodical drives on a 10 & 10 format. Dixie's run defense was pretty solid. McNick didn't have a lot of success on the ground. However in the air, McNick had their way throwing to the middle of the field. Dixie was inconsistent moving the ball on offense. Would have 2-3 plays moving it well then 2-3 plays where McNick stuffed the run. Dixie had a few starters out with some injuries. JV's were pretty even. Frosh were limited due to heat and they cut the scrimmage short. But McNick had 17 plays and scored on a pass, broken coverage and then the corner slipped. Besides that they didn't move the ball. Dixie only had 10 offensive plays, moved the ball on the ground with some success, pass pro broke down and didn't pass well.

I was there. When it was Varsity 1's vs 1's Cooper scored once to Lloyd's 0 Coopers first 10 plays resulted in 11 total yards. Coopers 2nd drive 8 of their plays netted 5 yards. They did complete a 45 yard pass, great coverage but just a better catch. Then scored on a 20 yard TD pass, again good coverage but a perfectly thrown ball and a great catch at the goal line. Then the JV's were in and Cooper scored twice to Lloyd's 1. Then I heard them say Varsity 2's. Cooper had an inside run that broke open for about a 65 yard TD run. I left after that Lloyd's first drive with the Varsity 1's didn't amount to much and actually threw a pick on kike play 6 or 7. Lloyd's 2nd drive they did drive down the field to about the Cooper 25 and completed their 10 plays

Dixie Heights opens up their scrimmage season with Archbishop McNicholas from Cincinnati. Dixie has a bit of the injury bug right now and is looking to get some quality reps and come out healthy!

Thank you to all the teams that participated today. It was a great event that went really smooth. Kids got some great reps in. Great competition and great sportsmanship by all, players, coaches and spectators. The crowd was better than expected for this just being a 7v7. Wish I could have taken more than 8 teams this year but we definitely plan on expanding this event in 2027! Also thank you to NKOA and assignor Steve Fromeyer for scheduling officials for this event. There will be a food truck on-site, JoAnna's Colby Fries! Gates open at 8am, free admission! Games begin at 9:00am, Finals at 12:30pm. All teams will play 4 games. Also thank you to Coach Eddie Eviston and Covington Catholic as they were a late add to the event as Anderson OH had a conflict arise and had to withdrawal from the event.

I was extremely happy with the Dixie Freshman who played 3 varsity teams today and held their own. All 3 games were even on the scoring. Vs Bellevue 2 scores each, vs Gallatin 1 score each and vs Holmes 2 scores each. Looking forward to next week's All freshman future Stars event at Dixie.

Left the SK v Scott 7v7 a few minutes ago. Both squads had 9 possessions each. Scott scored 7TD's and SK with 3TD's.

Covington Catholic has replaced Anderson OH.
