NCC has one of the hardest schedules for a small school and all this does is show the heart of NCC playing these schools they know will blow them out but what I like is this only makes them stronger and people wonder why they make it to play offs.. this is why every year a big schedule and the heart carries them through. I love this cause the haters of NCC fail to realize this is all just a stepping stones we don't need these wins but we do need to play teams this tuff to get more experience and tougher... so laugh on b/c we will be in playoffs this year again.. last laugh is much harder.. =Peyton;5166163]Don't get to carried away. Not to say SK won't win, but in all honesty have they been challenged yet? NCC will get challenged the next couple weeks but my guess they will make in further in the playoffs than SK. Enjoy the wins now they get tougher to win as the season unfolds

Tired legs on all starting 5 players had a lot to do with the loss of the game they should of could of won .. if and this is my observation coach would of went to the bench more he had the talent Jacob Smith and others could of done well with some minutes to give them a break... my point about not understanding why wouldn't a coach take a chance on the bench... ????

The future is real bright... lets don't forget The Holy Trinity boys are up and raising don't be surprise to see Brennan Hall, Stephen Pangallo getting a lot of JV time this year ... It's only going to get better wait and see... keep and eye out for these two they have chemistry and both are two smart players with a lot of talent. NCC will be in the rankings for another 4 years mark my words... and I didn't even mention Jalen Mc.Daniels and Jared Iles... these 4 together could start JV for NCC and hold it down. NCC is far from thinner only getting better.... true story

I do agree with you with over the years they haven't been able to dominate them teams. I do think NCC coach will have to have a better game plan then using just 6 players and going for the win and having faith in the boys on the bench. I personally think that is what hurt them the most last year and if he's coaching tactics on that end would improve I do believe NCC will pull off upsets this year. I understand at Varsity level you want the best in but could someone explain to me why only go 6 players if you have a kid with a resume of basketball experience and have played against these same boys but won't put him in at all... I don't see the logic in that.. To me a coach should build confidence in the bench and use it you never know who is going to be that spark plug to turn the tempo of the game around smh I really don't understand that...

I don't know when you have a Jacob Smith on your team and nominate Pre Game Player of the year and with stats like this as a Sophomore I think that 50/50 is blown out the water... He totaled 2,000 yards as a sophomore, rushing for a team high 1,020 yards on 190 carries with 16 total td and ranking third in both receptions 21 and receiving yards 350. He totaled nearly 600 yards and returns......THIS ONLY SOPHOMORE YEAR I PRAY HE STAYS INJURY FREE AND PROVES THAT HARD WORK PAYS OFF... NEWPORT KIDS RULE....

I really don't know what you are talking about... NCC JV team beat the average Frosh highlands team at the Thomas Moore camp. I stated it was the HHS frosh squad and NCC knew that... lol I really don't know what your point was. I was just clearly stated that NCC JV beat HH at the TM camp and HH JV wasn't at the camp. HH Frosh team is very scrappy and fast... But I know they won't beat NCC 9th grade team coming up Not if Steven Pangallo, Jared Iles, Jalen McDaniels and Brennan Hall plays on Frosh team..

Actually,,, I was there my son played JV along with two other 8th graders for NCC. We beat highlands Frosh HHS and the HHS JV team was not at Holmes playing because we beat them at 1:00 pm on Sunday and they played Holmes Sat. night. HHS entered their Frosh team on purpose I would assume... I think this NCC JV team is going to be something amazing to watch. I'm sure of it...

I totally agree... I know one outstanding player that in my eyes is the best pitcher NCC will ever see and that is Jared Iles he is 8th grader trying out for freshman team. He is a beast and I haven't seen any other kid pitch better then him yet. But just because he's good don't mean he don't have to try out and is a walk on... lol so foolish.

First off try outs are in Feb... how do you know who will be on the team yet... Actually my son has played in the SWOL league to and will be trying out for NCC baseball but that don't make him a shoe in... I agree totally... Kid got hops... and is probably one of the best point guards around that is he's age and grade...

Actually,,,, Pangallo won't be playing not because of baseball because he is not playing baseball this year. Last year he played sparingly because that was by choice my son plays baseball and basketball with him. I don't know how some of them names on the roster for the simple fact Legends roster is not confirmed as of yet. so funny

I'm totally confused on who that would be or who that is. Last year Legends didn't have but three players that played during the season we went to nationals and only two went to nationals with us. One kid played during off season but he is a hold back at HT this year. So he played with he's right grade last year.So enlighten me.lol

This is true.. Legends played a triple ot game right before the championship game and we lost by one point. Can't wait this year to play SS it is very entertaining and it pushes both teams. Love it

My son plays for the Legends and it's the same team as last year maybe picking up a few new ones or not. I was just wondering about the SS how they did in Nationals last year? Legends did awesome came in 3rd out of 32 teams we played in Myrtle Beach against d1 an d2 teams... Just wondering what SS did and how far they went?
