  1. I saw this coach when they played NDA in the region 9 playoffs. I was at the game with my 12 year old daughter. We were flabbergasted by how out of control this lady seemed to be. She yelled, kicked, screamed, grabbed her kids off the bench... Then after the game, even after being beaten badly, she was walking around the arena talking to people and seemed like the nicest lady on the planet. I don't play for her, don't have any kids that play for her, and don't know her personally. But, that being said, seeing her coach that game made me feel bad for her team. It would seem, at least on the outside looking in, that her kids would play for her out of fear, not out of respect.
  2. Olivia Voskuhl is a senior. Nice win by NDA, pretty well played all around. They were able to close their defense up against the 3 point shooters of Highlands, which was my concern going into this game. I wonder how the 9th region ref's did in their games. These dudes from the 16th were pretty interesting tonight. If NDA wants to go deep in Bowling Green, they need to shoot better from the foul line. Highlands is awesome from the line - they missed more tonight than I have ever seen them miss, but they can put on a free throw shooting clinic most nights.
  3. BC tried a little stall ball towards the end of the first half yesterday against NDA. Didn't work out too well for BC, just gave the NDA girls a breather. This season started out very shallow for NDA. They were really only a solid 6 deep. As the season progressed, they are easily 8 deep, which is good, because other teams have gotten NDA's starting 5 in foul trouble early as of late. Henderson had solid minutes off the bench for NDA yesterday, probably played the best game of her season. The only glaring flaw I saw yesterday for NDA was on defense - they let the shooters on the wings wide open way too often. NDA is long on defense, but BC could of had many more uncontested shots at 3's if they had wanted them. If someone gets hot from the perimeter for Highlands, that could be a problem, but I would suspect NDA would adjust pretty quickly and force Highlands back inside.
