Grant has a younger kid on the bench that has the size but hasnt ever played basketball. He improved alot last season and hopefully is playing ball this summer to improve his skills. They have a shot but they are not and should not be the favorite by any means.

yes Grant hired Hicks but that is the first big time outside coach that Grant has brought in at any sport in awhile I do believe. Hicks wasnt a guy that did what he was told because he was scared and i think that was a reason why he left so soon with all this talent coming back.

I hope Shelby valley wins it all next year,and sends Grant the trophy because we are the ones that won the dang thing for y'all!and then the grant administration should be ashamed! Starting with this lady called Herald and maybe a man called Livin'Good! Since Grant paid for his schooling! That's all folks see ya at Rupp!

Most likely Grant will hire from within the school so they do not deal with the drama of another outsider! The more Grant waits to hire a new coach, the more pressure it puts on the returning players and the new coach because everyday Grant falls farther behind the other 8 region programs! I wish Carr would stay so he could possibly break Jones scoring record. He would be looked at better by doing that than leaving for another program although that is understandable.

That's the best thing I have ever heard! That's Grant county for ya! Hicks is for sure gone but word on the street is that Tyler Carr is leaving grant for Scott or another big time program ! Is that true @BGCat? Plunkett should get a shot but he will not be interested because he just had a baby and is very deeply committed to other more important things PERIOD! Don't leave it up Grant to hire a solid coach cause they NEVER DO! The athletic director has the experience and understanding to find a great coach but is hog tied! If Bobby Burgess doesn't burn down the gym for their ignorance it will a shock because he had a BIG HAND in bringing in Coach Hicks! Coach Hicks will be missed because even the people that don't like everything about him know he is a solid coach and has brought Grant back to the standard of competitiveness that has been lacking after Ron Kinmon ruined a solid new upcoming program!

Nope it is not I must have been mistaken and scared because people are telling me to grow a pair and I just can not do that. But hey Im just a crazy old man dont really need a pair any way wouldnt use em.

BGCat And its just as easy to say that people are apart of the program and act like you know everything when you simply do not know who I am or where I am from.

Braves1, Been there done that, I know how he coach's practices thats why I said in a previous post " Coach Hicks is the best PRACTICE coach Grant has ever had"!!!!!!!!!!!!

Anglin like a said is a SOLID defender maybe one of the top in the state but that does not make him a over all SOLID player thats all im saying.

Khalid, Man you got me beat I only got to watch them play like 10 times, what a shame. I never said he played favorites this year in my previous post did I? But do I think he played favorites this nope sure do not. These are his kids he has had since he got to Grant. Coach Hicks built his program around them (well at least the ones that didnt quit or leave). Before I go any farther into this I want to know If I am the only one in this conversation that believes that Coach Hicks has played favorites???

Anglin is not a solid player he is a solid defensive player and above average on offense but he is not an over all SOLID player like Carr.

I totally agree with you 123Go and I have said that in my previous post. Why do you think I said the 5 to 7 guys on the TEAM need to get stronger mentally and learn to play when the pressure is on? The only way you learn how to play like that is to be put in game situations where you fight from start to finish and dig deeper when you think you cant dig any more!! Grant has a lot of Up-Side to them and I will be on the edge on my seat when they play us again next season.

Grant will have a better chance if their bigger kids improve yes but Grant County will have the greatest chance at Rupp IF the main 5 to 7 guys on the TEAM get stronger mentally and learn how to play when the pressure in on!!! Someone other than Carr has to get tough on a consistent basis and pull them to victory when his shots are not falling. Its high school ball in the 32nd and 8th region you only need to SOLID players to get to RUPP
