We had a weak schedule. I thought I admitted that already. I could have sworn I admitted already. Yes I just scrolled up the page. I have admitted that the schedule was weak last year. I'll say it again the schedule was weak last year. That's not going to stop me from being proud of them for what they were able to accomplish. Fool's gold or not. And you can talk point differential and all that other stuff all you want to. We put 21 points on the best team in the nation. In one game. You didn't do it in a combined two games. Why shouldn't we be proud?

Okay. It is uncalled for when I throw shots at X but not when you throw shots at SC? I'm new to this board but come on man!!! Is there some unwritten rule that says SC has to win 10+ state titles before their fans can throw shots at other schools? If so expect me to break it. I'll dish it but I can take it also. Thick skin. It goes far. I said no comment on our regular season schedule. I admit it was weak. That has changed this year. It also helps that our district is getting stronger also. I said we are in the baby steps of becoming a program of X's caliber. Learning how to win also involves some attitude. If developing that attitude means having a weak schedule at some point to get used to winning then so be it. The schedule is challenging this year to say the least.

Possibly. Scott County is in the baby steps of becoming a program like Highlands/St. X/Trinity. I like the direction we are headed in.

Thank you. Means a lot. They'll learn one day. :lol: Good luck to Tates Creek as well. It's been too long since the Lexington area has been respectful and competitive in high school football in this state. I hope it continues. We'll try to keep it up as well. If you guys shine then we all shine.

So even after a weak regular season schedule and advancing through the playoffs where the opponent gets harder every week to make the finals and then score more points on Trinity than any other team from Ky did SC still can't get any respect? Tough crowd. I'd have rather have played St. X than Trinity anyways. We'd have a ring then.:banana:

I get that. I want them to be in shock of me though. Plus it is Trinity this year. I think after what they did to Highlands in that scrimmage that we'll all be in shock in the state finals this year. I think playing Highlands is a worthy substitute to playing a possible 6A finalist. It probably would be a good year to play St. X since we know they won't be in the 6A finals. Beating Highlands and St. X in the same year is the stuff of legends. That's where we are trying to be.

I don't make the schedule but if I did I wouldn't schedule to play a regular season game against a team that we'd face in the state finals. The less they know the better.

So even if Scott County beats Highlands AT Highlands that isn't enough to pass St. X? I say Scott County is better than St. X anyways but even if we make it back to the state finals some people will say we made it by default because Trinity and St. X play before the finals. I say hogwash. I say Scott County is better than both.

After Scott County beats Highlands on Friday will that be enough to move us to #2? I think it should be. Highlands is better than St. X.

Absolutely it's an upset. Scott County has yet to prove that they can beat the Trinity and Highlands of the state. Now, that doesn't mean we won't win or that we won't begin to establish ourselves after we beat Highlands on Friday. We have laid the groundwork for our future and after we make this statement Friday night the state of Kentucky will recognize that we aren't just a basketball school any longer. We are here to stay. #SC1C4
