  1. Did some research and come up with the following players from the Ohio team that are either Committed or getting interest. Another stacked Ohio roster.

JUSTIN AHRENS VERSAILLES 6’5 FORWARD- Committed to Ohio State

DWAYNE COHILL HOLY NAME 6’2 GUARD - Committed to Dayton

  2. I think they were $18 for lowers and $13 for uppers per session (two games). The fees on Ticketmaster are insane (as @Wireman said), however buying at the window makes getting lower arena tickets almost impossible.

I attended every game of the sweet 16 this year and have been for many years now. Easiest way to get tickets down low is first find them on your phone then walk up to the window and tell them the exact tickets that you want. For example Section 11, Row W, Seats 1 and 2. We did this to avoid paying the online fees.

  3. You've obviously done your homework on CC's schedule. For those of us who actually watch and look at who is playing who, CC played the following non-NKY teams this year:

Montini Catholic (IL) ranked top 10 in the country

    Male

Mount Notre Dame (OH) defending state champs

    Elizabethtown

    Mercer Co.

    Bullitt East

    Hopkinsville

    South Warren

    Sacred Heart

    GRC

Wow! I knew they played those teams, just thought I’d act shocked for you. My post was in reference to Purple Reigns orginal post about the camels dominating NKY this year.

Congrats to Campbell County on their district championship and NKAC Championship! It was a heck of a season for the purple and gold. Not trying to take anything away from them.

  4. I've seen each team and just feel Ryle is better. I agree I think this is a 5-7 pt game. Would I be shocked if Simon won, no. When the spread is this close with 2 good teams it can go either way. Ryle has 2 very high end players and a nice supporting cast. Simons high end player is still coming off of an acl surgery and I'm sure not 100% as of yet, but they have some experience from last year playing in this event. This game is kind of like Murray and Mercer I would take Mercer because I think they are better but will not be shocked at all if Murray wins. 2 good very competitive games.

I feel like you undervaluing the contributions made by Jones, Stamper and Harmeyer. One could make the argument SK has more pieces than Ryle. SK is the more balanced team. Vickers has also stepped up her play.

  5. The camels now bring a very good nucleus back.. they had a great season and dominated local girls basketball and will be a force to reckon with next year We saw several girls on the court last night in a big game and unfortunately one of our best players in Mallory Holbroo was injured but suspect she will be heard from next year

Don’t worry about Camels - they will be just fine and back in same position next year

Dominated the NKY exhibition circuit? I wonder if they’ll get selected for the NKY Postseason Invitational Tournament. If so Campbell would have to be the hands down favorite.

  6. It was not my intention to slam anyone, I was sticking up for a Campbell player who had been slammed.

And to state the fact that missing a starter may have made a difference in a 3 point loss is a lot different than saying a team could have made up 25 points.

Also, not looking for moral victories, I watched Campbell win 29 real victories this season.

GRC was a top 5 pre-season team this year, and that is what they look like now.

    Good luck to the Cardinals.

    29 exhibition game victories?

  7. Which means for most of the SK people her performance should be totally disregarded when considering the 8th region tourney MVP...they already have a designated one.

    :lol2:

Someone sounds a little salty, take your parental blinders off. Basketball is a team game. Often times more than one player is deserving of an award, unfortunately the award can only be given to one player. There are no predetermined or designated awards given out at SK.

  8. If it doesn't matter then why give the award? It matters to someone doesn't it?

Sure it matters. But what matters more is playing team basketball and winning games. Ally worked her tail off to get back and help this team. She makes everyone better. Not everything she does shows up in the box score. Like someone said it’s not the 3rd Qtr MVP. Time for everyone to put their egos aside or the season will be over fast.

  9. I know the feeling. I bought a rather expensive piece of jewelry in Hong Kong one time. It was a pearl in a setting with some diamonds. I took it with me to a jewelry store I frequent and asked what they thought. Their pearl expert was not there, but they told me the diamonds and setting was worth more than what I had paid. Probably need to get it a real appraisal.

Do many of you have an insurance over ride on your Jewerly? Most homeowners policies only cover a certain amount. Same with guns.

I have Jewlery insurance on the engagement ring. It’s not very expensive I think it was something like $40 a year. Well worth the money in my opinion.

  10. Hopefully it came back as real or someone may have some splainin’ to do.

Haha, it actually was a relief when it did come back as real. I had the ring designed online and the company while it had good reviews was a newer one. It’s kind of scary ordering something so expensive online without actually seeing it or touching it.

  11. For the large schools there is no doubt that the conference title no longer holds any luster. That is a shame, but also a reality. There was a time when that wasn't so, but it's been many, many years. However, do not throw too much shade because it does indeed matter to the small, truly class A type schools. The fact is that those schools have little chance of advancing even to the Regional tournament level (despite the profoundly inaccurate allegation by some on here concerning the "David vs. Goliath" myth) makes the conference title something worth shooting for and they do indeed

    consider it worthwhile.

Agreed, and I’m a believer that the small schools should value a NKAC title. Nothing wrong with that at all.
