  1. Terry made a huge impact with his legs and had a beautiful TD pass. With the windy conditions last night Kentucky road their workhorse in Benny Snell.

Terry will have to cut down on the fumbles but I believe if Gran opened up the playbook Terry could sling it around and make some plays with his arm. Next week against Missouri I think we’ll see this happen.

Terry Wilson has done enough as QB of this years team to have them sitting at 6-1 and ranked inside the Top 15. I honestly don’t think theirs another QB on the roster that would be 6-1.

  2. There’s just as good teams in the 8th as SK. Plenty of great players with college offers from many teams. There’s some hungry teams ready to try to capture the region title!

SK will be hungry as well. I’d say the region is certainly more wide open than it has been with Ally Niece departing after being the regions best player for the last several seasons. But the cupboard is far from bare in Independence. They still return arguably their second and third best players from last years championship squad.

  3. SK will struggle without the leadership of Ally Niece. I think we became so spoiled with her play over the years that we fail to realize just how special she was. She was the ideal teammate, and made that team fire on all cylinders. Ally made the game easier for her teammates. You could really see what a spark she was when she came back late in the season last year and helped that team to another sweet 16 appearance with only one healthy leg. Not to make this post about the past but I can’t wait to see Ally represent the Pioneer Nation at the D1 level this year at NKU. It will be awesome to see her jersey retired along with the other great Pioneers in SK history.

This SK team still has some solid pieces in Jones and Stamper along with a strong supporting cast. I believe Ally’s work ethic, leadership, and unselfish play has rubbed off on Jones and Stamper and that will be vital for those two to carry the torch and potentially win another regional title.

  4. South Carolina is a decent team, but in Lexington the Cats should win this one, and I'd think pretty comfortably. I'm sure it'll be dicey the 1st quarter, or even half. Have to expect a little bit of an emotional/focus let down after Saturday's huge win.

They need to just keep feeding Benny and Rose and hope Turnover Terry doesn't rear his head at inopportune times.

Watching this team play this season, and I can't help but think....How good could they be if they had even an average QB under center?

    Kentucky wins it 27-17.

Terry made some huge plays in the Florida game. He made plays with his feet that most quarterbacks have no business making. Without him I’m not sure they beat Florida. The other games he’s made some turnovers but managed the game enough to win. His upside is unbelievable. It will be fun to watch him develop over the next two and a half years.

  5. Gausman might be a steal for the Braves. I read somewhere his ERA outside of AL east games is around 3.

He doesn’t have the team control of Archer but Guasman is very talented and still pretty young. The pirates overpaid imo.

Any idea what the Braves gave up to get him?

  6. Doesn't appear that Harvey will be traded right now. He will likely clear waivers though.

If he keeps pitching well and increasing his stamina and velocity could this be a good thing. He could bolster his value even more coming down the stretch especially if a team has an injury in the next month or so. He could be one of the top waiver deadline SP available.

  7. The Reds drafted OF Bren Spillane from the Univ of Illinois in the 3rd Round. He’s 6’4” and put up huge numbers (.389/.498/.903) to earn 2018 Collegiate Baseball Newspaper National Player of the Year, 2018 Big Ten Player of the Year and Baseball America First Team All-American honors.

He hit 23 HR’s this year to go along with a perfect 16/16 on SB’s and a perfect 19/19 on SB’s in his career.

  8. Harvey looked to average close to 94mph with the fastball and had it up to 96 or 97 at least once I believe. Also threw a lot in the 93mph range. I know he hasn’t been good in quite sometime and this is only one start but you can see glimpses of his dominant self out there. He looked so composed, I really enjoyed watching him pitch. Hopefully he can build off of this is San Fran

  9. Just seems like he's guessing on a lot of those swings. Don't know if it's because he's pressing or what. They need to just send him down to Louisville where he can get 4 AB's each and every night without feeling the MLB pressure to perform. Get his timing back. Get his eye back. Whatever it takes.

He’s a swing for the fences guy. The only way he has any success is if a guy accidentally hangs one of those breaking balls that are supposed to be in the dirt. He can’t lay off the breaking ball.

I fell asleep in the 7th but I see in the box score where Winker came in to pinch hit and came away with a hit. Winker needs to play everyday, no excuses.
