  1. I agree 100%. My point was that they have several kids that have the ability to score 15-20 points which makes them a very dangerous team to face on any given night. Or they could easily have 5-6 kids score 10-15 points which is equally as dangerous. They're all good kids that work very hard and will only get better.
  2. Correction: Carr has the highest 3 point shooting percentage on the team. My mistake.
  3. It is true that Cummins is no longer with the team and also that Carr is a freshman and I believe (correct me if I'm wrong) he has the highest shooting % on the team. There are also several kids (not mentioned before) that are significant contributors! Such as Anglin, Shipp, Thomas, Robbins and others that give this team a very deep bench and a bright future. Should be fun to watch them as they come together as a team.
  4. I watched them (King brothers) play in 8th grade, not sure if the same group of the starting 5 are still together but they were all very solid as a team that year! Fun to watch an 8th grade group break a full court press without the ball ever touching the ground, even if it was against my team. Good group of ball players, congrats to all of them.
  5. I'll have to say, it is much more interesting when you know who is behind the screen name! lol
  6. Over the course of the season Grant has had 6 players score 15-20 points in a game. Blackburn, Carr, Kinmon, Cummins, Hurley & Hunt and have had several other kids score in double digits consistantly each game. So for you to say it has to come from "one of these two players" is a little naive. Grant has 10 or so players that could do this at any time which makes them very hard to defend. Some kids get hot and some get cold on any given game, I'll take my chances that one or two of the 10 gets hot in a game no matter who it is.
  7. I think I remember him playing in a tournament at Williamstown a few years back (Little Demons Classic). He was a good shooter then and a really nice ball player now. Shoots from anywhere on the floor but also takes it to the hoop when the opportunity presents itself. The type of player that any team would be glad to have. Kudos to Mr. Monroe.
  8. Possibly one of hte best officiated games I've seen in a long time. Did they miss some calls? I'm sure they probably did but neither team can say that the outcome had anything to do with the officials. Hats off to the refs in this one, wish more games were called this well.
  9. I have been watching high school basketball for 30 years and I would have to say that with the exception of a few, the 8th region refs are absolutely horrible! Can't speak for the other regions, but I think that the KHSAA needs to take a long hard look at the quality of the refs being used to call high school games. Much more training needed.
  10. Once again 8th region refs were horrible (on both sides). Grant shot terrible and couldn't make free throws down the stretch. It was much much closer then the final score would indicate. I thought SK would have been a better team then that.
