Jim, does anyone outside of Vince expect this to rival NFL quality? I don’t think so. So it’s automatically bad football withou watching a single down. Most believed the AFL was an inferior product too.

This will most decidedly be minor-league football. The average NFL team is worth $2.5 billion. McMahon is doing a whole league for $100 million. That's not a lot of salary money to go around.

 

One thing this league could do is provide valuable reps for guys who are buried on NFL benches. But like before, it will be bad football.

Is The Trinity/St. X game bad football? Just because they are presumably less talented than NFL? Then all high school football is bad. If teams are evenly matched, then the games should be competitive and entertaining.

Could be its own thread, but since its about the rumble winners, I'll throw it in here.

Did anyone else make the connection that the two winners were both......Japanese?! Is that a coincidence? I'm thinking there is some corporate strategy here. Sell about a million Wrestlemania PPV shares in Japan at $70 dollars a pop would generate a lot of money that Vince just used to start the XFL back up. Or, could something be in the works to buy out or partner with New Japan Pro Wrestling. We are seeing more stars that have previously worked in NJPW.

Im thinking its not just a coincidence.

I'm completely disappointed in the men's Royal Rumble. Nakamura is a jobber.

I like him, but the WWE just hasn’t spent time on him. He has received no push at all here lately. Renew a Japan rivalry with Styles. I think that will be entertaining.

The Ronda Rousey appearance was pretty lame. Just pointing at the Wrestlemania sign? And she ripped off Roddy Pipers look with the T-shirt and leather jacket. The only thing missing was bagpipes. Not an impressive first impression.

A lot will change over the next 8 weeks, but I know everyone has an opinion. So, who should turn pro, who shouldn’t turn pro and who will but really shouldn’t turn pro?

Even though it doesn’t tell the whole story, can someone post some stats.

I like that we are the leaders in consecutive games with a 3 pointer made, but how meaningful is it? Fans, players, recruiting...?

Any breed can bite. Some are more likely than others and in the case of pit bulls it’s the damage they can inflict. Too risky for me.

My bad. My quick research showed Buffalo. I mistook that for the Bills instead of the University of Buffalo. Still not sold on him though. I want a longer, more stable track record.

I’m not sold on Lazor. He’s been an OC for two other teams and never longer than two years at one place. That tells me, that teams want to move on quickly.

Beside the obvious answer, Patriots are SB contenders every year, why not leave. He has nothing else to prove with NE. His legacy is cemented as a SB winning coach with NE.

Now, to do it with another organization....that would really leave no doubt that it was as much him as it was Brady.

Just finished first season. Interesting enough to keep going to season two. Who else watched this series and is there ever a point it "jumps the shark"?
