Battle of the "cants" right now. Not a good look by either team so far.

Just posted what was listed. Whether technically called out on the KY books or not...what I call it is a death wish!

Maybe that is what it is...over the 9999.00, or whatever the magic amount is I cant remember exactly, amount is scrutinized. I am not talking about 1-200 dollar deposits here. This would be for more substantial deposits, but still.

All I can tell you is what they tell me. I have heard this about 5/3, PNC and KY Farmers (I cant remember the full name there). We use Huntington and they are not usually too bad. The worst was Farmers, our contractor said a 17K deposit was made available after 7 days. It certainly doesnt behoove them to lie about it...they are getting cash, checks would take as long if not longer.

ABSOLUTELY! I cannot tell you the last time someone didnt knock off at least a little off for cash...

Its not just my bank...these contractors are not a part of the same bank we utilize. Some of them are large regional banks, others are hometown locals. I have heard it from all angles.

I find it quite strange that I can make a cash deposit at the bank, straight up green backs and that money is not available in some cases for 5/7 days. We are a cash household. When we do something, we pay cash (or in our minds we cant afford it). I cannot tell you how many contractors have said, well we used to do cash discounts because checks took so long to clear, now...it doesnt really matter. What gives here?

Since this is a thread about Dicks decision...I find it interesting that I usually get between 2 and 3 emails from them or F&S about Flash sales this and that per week. In the past 48 hours however, I have received 9 total between the two companies. Coincidental? Maybe...but I dont think so.
