You are correct - the Camel incoming class is strong. I have had the pleassure to watch them play and also have the pleasure to see the Brossart incoming class play. That Brossart class has incredible talent / potential not to mention they have a soph of their own that ain't to bad either. I believe the Brossart group is in same summer league at Mt Zion where Camels are playing without Wood but Brossart without Rieger and Verst. I am hearing good things what that Brossart group is doing in that league without a couple of their stronger players. A lot can change over next couple of years but even though the Camel class is strong I think they still have some catching up to do. They might pull it off...Will be fun to watch

Whomever Brossart picks - they are stepping into a good spot. That incoming Freshman class is loaded with talent. Will be interesting on who will be picked. If Brossart could find room for her in classroom if Christie Macdonald would consider getting back into coaching at Varsity level. But doubt she would teach at NC and coach at Brossart. And Dawn transitioned successfully from boys to girls basketball - Could Scott Code do same? Would he even consider a jump like that - probably not, but you never know.....

Yes - game winning hit was by Austin Shannon...A very well played game by both sides and a fun game to watch... Game should not have gone extras as Shannon hit a smash down left field line with 2 on in 6th that looked fair..but ump ruled foul.....a very close call. Covcath managed to get out of inning with no damage. and to answer question about tank running low for NC game - yes it was as NC won in convincing fashion. - 4 Brossart players from St Joes were on 8th grade field trip today to Louisville and did not get back in time for game unfortunately. Not that outcome would have been any different but after the marathon ( 1 hour delay starting game waiting for ump and 1 hour delay to wait for field with lights) game previous night and to come right back and play next day with only 9 certainly showed this evening I believe.... agreed. But they pounded top competition in Hawaii and in Alabama - winning both tournaments - so they are getting away with something against top competition. And I am sure there is no half court offense with this team - its all run and gun - see former Yates star Clyde Drexler - also Greg "Cadilac" Anderson - there is a long list of phenoms from Yates

Good article - That team is truly amazing as high school sports in that area is as good as it gets and to be beating teams by the margin they are currently doing is hard to believe. They aren't doing it by facing teams like Silver Grove (no offense to the Trains) they are doing it by facing other big time programs in greater Houston. Every article I have read on this team has mentioned nothing but positives on this coach and this team. He's in a tough spot with that type of very rare talent on one team. For his stars and the other kids to prepare for next level - I know I would not want my kid learning by sitting back in a 2-3 zone - sleepwalking - after the first minute of every game just because they had a 30 point lead. You can make an argument possibly for seconf half or late second half - yes. But until then - play your rear ends off
