  1. I would say for those who truly want to know go to the game but I wouldn't publish names here. It's not fair to the kids. I agree though the Ludlow admin should be questioned more. How can you say I knew there was a party but I didn't know there was alcohol or that it would get out of hand. Unless your parenting skills are non existent, you know.

  2. "Thugs" is probably being used because that's what Tu said they were. "Gangstas" same thing. If your going to act like it, call yourself one, then back it up. Which they haven't as a team. Maybe Lyons should focus less on "trash talk" and more on team bball, and maybe X could start winning again.

  3. In defense to the UC/UF comments UC had just lost their head coach in dramatic fashion, not that it would have changed the outcome but it probably would have been a little better. As far as this game the fumble going into the endzone was the definite back breaker. But if I'm Dabo Sweeney i'm marking this game down and if I were to play WV again I would try to put up 100. Geno and starters passing still late in the game when it was clearly out of control. On a another not though the sports bar I work at turned it off every TV but one and decided to watch classic Knicks v. Rockets finals. Got to refresh my Olajuwan Ewing memories. Lol

  4. Policy on social networking something along the lines of don't post anything negative about the team, don't respond to anything negative about the team, and don't give up any information about the team. Not word for word the policy but along those lines. Basically states, that if you have an issue with something that involves the team talk to the coach/coaches everything should be handled in house. and that is a high school coach.

  5. Depends on what was in place, I know some coaches have a policy on social networking, similar to policies such as i will not use drugs or alcohol. If this was/is in place than the coach has every right to dismiss the player. People need to realize that yes we have freedom of speech but only until it offends someone. If no policy is in place and it offended the coach, yes he went to the extreme there and could have handled it differently but we don't know the whole situation.

Regardless people need to watch what they post on these sites. I read a story a while back that a lady lost her job because of a post about her employer on facebook. Recruiting personel search these sites when looking at job applicants. Some college sports teams have their student athletes block their page all together making it to where only the athete can add their friends and can't be found when searched for. Facebook has become a major issue with these types of stories, and people need to realize that if they can't say what's bothering them to that particular person they probably shouldn't post it for the world to see because it will eventually get back to them, and there are reprecussions for their actions.

  6. Bama got to sit at home and watch their way into a BCS title while LSU had to play another week to prove what we already knew. If you can't win your conference championship, you can't win a National Championship. The system is bogus.

What's the point of conferences if the BCS is going to select who will make them the most money anyway?

  7. It was 4th and 7. Bellevue was inside the 20 I believe. The pass had been there for most of the night with Frankfort playing aggressively at the LOS. The play wasn't a bad call just came out as a bad result. IMO the quarterback could have run for the 1st but he decided to throw which again wasnt a bad decision the WR was open underneath with the D covering overtop, unfortunately for Bellevue it was overthrown and picked for a TD. With the benefit of hindsight a lot of things could have happened differently, but that was the game changer. After that Frankfort had all the momentum and Bellevue seemed to wear down. It was a great football game and someone had to win. Congrats to Frankfort and good luck, as well congrats to Bellevue on a good season. It was a tough loss for the seniors and they all played hard. Hopefully they learn from this in the off season and build off of it.

  8. That's a valid point, but do we know if the other 2 are minors? Also if it is legal for adults is there rules/laws that prohibit it on school grounds? I assume there would be something in place similar to alcoholic drinks--legal for adults--illegal for minors not allowed on school grounds. Pretty unfamiliar with the stuff. Anyway you look at it though, it's a bad situation for everyone involved.

As for Pike and Auburn, if the Tigers still welcome him, they would have to keep a close eye on him. I've seen he's made some mistakes this past year, maybe getting away from the area will be best for him. I hope he still has his chance to play at AU and he learns from this and comes away a better person.

  9. Everyone, whether they agree or not also needs to realize that the person on legal committed no crime. The synthetic marijuana is legal if your over 18. Yes it is harmful and if they did do it, it shouldn't have been brought to school or done before a game but technically they weren't in the wrong, except for team rules.

I would say that the Auburn scholarship will remain in tact based off the LSU case with this same substance. I hope these young men get their priorities in order and learn from this situation.

  10. Hard fought game by both teams. There were a lot of mistakes as well. Bellevue opened the game up with a nice drive to go up 7 to 0 and it remained that way for most of the half, until a tipped ball was caught for Lloyds TD right before half. 2nd half again was a bunch of 3 and outs with Bellevue scoring to go up 14 to 6 in the 4th I believe. Lloyd missed an extra point and a field goal. Both defenses played hard with Bellevue getting the edge having 2 or 3 goalline stands and a stopped 2 point conversion when Lloyd returned a punt with 8 seconds to go. Bellevue has a pretty good defense, in the weeks following the BWood game they've only given up 12 points total. Lloyd also played well on D, not giving up any big plays. I think there was only one turnover the whole game coming off of a dropped punt by Bellevue. Like I said, clean hard fought game. Pretty good match up and a good game to watch defensively. Congrats to Bellevue, and good luck to both teams as they start the playoffs.

  11. I've liked majority of the unis with exception of Maryland and UGA. as someone stated before Oregon will always be first on the Uni change, Nike being in Oregon and Phil Knight being an alum. Under Armour CEO is a Maryland grad and former player. there was an article that stated he wanted to do something to get people talking about them. mission accomplished. VaTech, Beamer has been there for 25 years and has had 4 or so losing seasons, they recruit under tradition more than uniforms. They haven't won a national title but there always successful in conference and do well in bowls. Kids go there because of Beamer ball and the lunch pail D not because they wear different unis on occasion.

  12. BK had success "overnight" because Dantonio brought in defensive players that Kelly could work with. Once most of those guys were gone we were left with what Kelly brought in, guys that could outscore most opponents the d couldn't stop, as seen in the orange/sugar bowls. BJ is bringing in quality guys but it will take time. They'll compete in the big east this year and I think Butch will get some more defensive guys in clifton next year. I think he'll do fine, I just hope after some success he won't jump ship and head to ND after BK losses his job.

  13. Sad news for the bulldogs, like someone posted earlier "Once a Bulldog, always a Bulldog." I graduated from Holmes and this is a huge blow. He was an outstanding coach and AD, but he was an even better person. I hope Holmes can recover and find the right candidate to fill these enormous shoes. Much respect to Coach Madrick, and I wish him a quick recovery.

  14. Nevels is a motivational kind of guy. A players coach. He has the respect of many around here as a player and a coach, if he is interested in the HC position I'm sure he has had the opportunity to interview or will get the opportunity. If he has, then Madrick is waiting to announce or didn't feel he was going to be the right guy just yet. Ben will get his chance eventually, he is a hard working guy that knows football. With that being said Madrick will hire the best candidate he can find, no matter who it is. He knows how to find good coaches that fit into the Holmes system. Trust me I know first hand I played for Holmes.

  15. I'm not a ND fan or a Kelly fan for that matter, but he has proven to do more with less. Even if it was the BE or MAC or even GVSU. He still won those games and conferences against teams that were supposed to have better recruits than he. Kelly gets his players to believe in his system and that's half the battle. His system is proven to be successful. You give that man a solid D and he will be in the talks of BCS.
