Both correct. The CYF 8th grade team was winless in the GCYL last year, while members of the current sophomore class were on the CYF 8th grade team that won the GCYL the year before last. The current CYF 8th grade team is 1-0 on the season with a 28-6 win in their opener over All Saints, which is a major feeder school for Moeller.

I've spent a LOT of time in the pressbox as a spotter, and those white and gold jerseys are a nightmare. Honestly, they were the visiting team and I was announcing for the home team, I wouldn't bother even trying to announce anything for their team. And just aesthetically speaking, I think the jerseys look dumb, too.

@ChiefSmoke is there anywhere that the results from the games in the leather helmet league are being posted? I haven't seen any final scores from either of the first two weeks of games showing up on Arbiter as of yet.

As far as I know of, Lafayette is the only team in this league on their bye week. Lex Cath and East Jess canceled their game against one another last night (presumably due to heat index) and there isn't currently a make-up date shown...so they may or may not end up playing a game this week.

That was Brandon Smith's last play of the game tonight. Spent the rest of the game on the sideline with an ice pack on his knee. He would have been a LOT of help tonight. I definitely hope he's alright, moving forward.
