Boyd County played very well in the first half...actually thought they might upset the Eagles for a minute or two. Jackson was on fire for Fairview and they played true team ball. This Fairview team has everything it takes to be winners...good luck in regionals. As for the Lions, the next few years should be interesting...they have some very talented young players that will definitely put Boyd County back in contention.

Some of the others were Jacob Mayse and Trey Salisbury from Boyd Co., both Freshmen! Wetzel and Delaney from Ashland plus one more. Jackson and another from Fairview. Eleven altogether. As for the game...it was an amazing atmosphere! Just like the "good ol' days". Two huge student sections all decked out in paint and gear, both pep bands, standing room only. Very exciting to watch. Showed the importance of hitting your free throws!!!

As a Boyd County fan who has been to all but a couple of games this season, thank you for the words of encouragement to our boys. It has been a season full of changes and turmoil but our young players have hung in there and played with a "never say die" attitude. Here's hoping that the 08-09 season is a new beginning for the Lions! I'm proud of how hard they've worked through extreme adversity!

I would have to agree that even though our season has been MORE than discouraging, we've maintained the fan base from start to finish. The sad thing is that the current attendance is so much smaller than the "old days". We haven't had the upper deck of bleachers out once this year and only 2/3 of the home side filled. Times have changed but I'm proud of how the current Lions have a never say die attitude and no matter what the score, they're still giving it their all. Props to Boyd County!:thumb:
