You may want to look out for Ellery Kring in the next couple of years as the best all-around athelete. She played varsity soccer for Conner this season. She started varsity Basketball for Conner this season. She played varsity softball for Boone in 6th and 7th grade and started as an 8th grader for Conner last season. This is a freshman with a bright future.
Actually Kring has only missed 2 games. There was another game where she did not start but played the majority of the game. She has been playing hurt much of the second half of the season though.
I dont think anyone is disputing that 8th and 9th graders should play if they are good enough. The problems are much bigger. You can not teach kids that is okay to cheat. You can not play someone because of their age. Best kids should play regardless of class. Ryle has some very talented young players. In my opinion the AD knows what is going on. The entire Region knows. It will surface soon.
Campbell County plays very well as a team. Seemed to be very well coached.
With other starters out Long stepped up and played fantastic. She is as good as any player I have seen this year. I know if I was a college coach, I would want her on my team. I dont care how tall she is.
Crittenden is as good as anyone in the region. She will be a force for the next 3 years.
Cheesman-out of district
Johnson-8th grader playing varsity is out of district. Follow them home.
Good players at Ryle not even playing because of all the issues.
Kara Taulbee started her first varsity game Saturday night against South Oldham. She has been seeing significant varsity playing time the last 2-3 weeks.
