I have to agree that Anderson Co. takes this one. Mercer has a big threat in Layne Peavler with his speed. Luckily, Anderson Co. has a player that can match his speed in Ryan Martin. I think Anderson Co. defense gets back on track this week. Looking forward to a good game.

Who wins and why?

Franklin Co. at #4? Let's look at their schedule so far. They beat Western Hills, beat a winless Oldham Co. and struggle against 1A Frankfort. Nothing against Frankfort, they are a very good team, but a 5A team should not struggle against them. Warren Central, South Oldham, Bullitt East and Anderson Co. have played tougher schedules. Can't argue them not being ranked ahead of Anderson Co. as Anderson has a 1-2 record. Franklin Co. will have their opportunity to prove they are better than Anderson Co. Just MHO.

Not real sure about Franklin Co. at #4. Their strength of schedule has been, shall we say, less than difficult. I would put them at #7 and move 5-7 up one each.

Don't think so. I was there the entire game. They were all returned to Anderson's territory. Turnovers plagued both teams. Boyle capitalized on all, Anderson Co. only on one. Huge difference maker in a game. Like I said, props to Boyle Co. They are a very good team. Good luck to them the rest of the way.

With your reasoning, Anderson Co. left 35 on the field by throwing 5 picks. If my memory serves me correctly, all were while AC was driving near midfield or in BC territory.

I was there for every play. No way Boyle could have score 70. It was a sloppy game by both teams. I'll be honest, if Anderson Co. hadn't turned the ball over so many times and gave Boyle great field position on those turnovers, it would have been a very different game. Boyle's defense is outstanding. Their offense is a step below the defense. Best part of their offense is the O line. Very quick and pull very well. Fullback runs the ball hard. Hard to bring down. Boyle won't be tested again until Madison Southern. Anderson Co. offense is better than they played. QB has to learn to throw the ball away. The defense is a different story. The defense has to solve it's issues in the next few weeks. Franklin Co. is the next team on the schedule that could test the Bearcats. Good luck to the Rebels.
