  1. I left the FT. campbell vs Todd County game at halftime, "Blowout", went home and viewed Hancock vs Owensboro Catholic via the internet, and O-Cath is a sound team both sides of the ball. Class 2A playoffs will be top notch.

We are going to have a huge game at Fort Campbell on October 22nd when O-Cath comes to Fryar Stadium, probably for the district title. FC and O-Cath really don't care much for eachother and after the beating the Aces took in last year's game, they will be looking for some payback.

Other then a playoff game, their is no team I like FC to beat more then O-Cath - Trigg County is a close 2nd.

  2. Marcoryeon Tndy tied a state record by returning four punts for touchdowns in the first half. How many does it take before you stop kicking to him?

It must be a failure to watch film and scout the Colonels. You absolutely have to be living under a rock to not know which player on the field is Bubba Tandy.

  3. Powell is part of the leadership they sorely missed the first five weeks, even if he only played offense tonight

Scribe, can you give me an official update on where Tre is with the all-tiime KY high school punt return for TD record? I think he needs 2 to tie and three to break it, does that sound right?

Glad we have him back, Coach Berner limited his play last night which meant no punt return action. He probably could have cherry-picked at least one last night.

Tre needs to get back to returning punts or Bubba Tandy may catch him, Bubba is on fire for Christian County!

  4. Don't get too excited yet. FC is a good team and glad to see Tre' Powell back but you played a less than average team in Todd County Central. A team that was 0-11 last season, gave up 613 points, has 4 wins this season over teams with a combined record of 5-22. I expect much of the same in this district except for the game against Owensboro Catholic. Good Luck Falcons !!!

We have a better than average assessment of the talent that FC is playing against. We have three straight state trophies sitting in the trophy case and haven't lost a 2A football game since November 2006. Thanks for passing along the stats on Todd County, but this game had absolutely zero to do with Todd County.

  5. First offensive play for FC, a pass down the right side of the field, who is that young man that catches it and goes to the house?? #23 Tre Powell, the most electrifying player in the state is back! It was hard for Bill Williams and I to keep it a secret all week and Todd County apparently didn't notice him warming up before the game. He only played a handful of plays. Later in the game FC had it 4th and goal from the 20, #23 walked out on to the field to receive a quick pass to the end zone for another TD.

His senior leadership and inspiration had a dramatic impact on the team, which finally played FC football.

We have known all along that come 2A district / playoff time and with the return of #23, FC would start looking like FC. As I stated earlier in the week; many 2A fans will be surprised which teams are playing and which teams are done by about November 19th.

  6. FalconBacker my friend, I was really referring to the north. I have no doubt that FC will be where they were expected to be before the season opened! I am following the teams that we have to play before we could possibly meet you guys again this year. I am concerned for the other two teams in our own district. They are teams that could easily be overlooked by the northern teams. Our ranking may have come a little premature this year, but it is a good motivatoinal tool for the younger falcons. I do feel we are a top 10 team and agree with the placement of 5. I also feel that in two weeks a lot of things are going to change in 2a!!!! I wish the other Falcons well this week, but I feel that they will dominate in their district. Keep them focused and the path will be laid in front of them.....

I am following along and cheering for the MC Falcons to get it done again this year. Your Falcons are more than worthy of their ranking!

  7.

2a is very interesting this year! I think GLasgow, Green, or Monroe could go very deep this year...it is sad that these three are in the same district this year!! These regular season games will be better than most playoff games...Look at Glasgow and Green...a all out shootout for top spot in the district!!! I am a little giddy at the coming up weeks, first Glasgow next week, then Green...both on the road!!! If I was another district I would definately be watching these three teams....:D

We are watching, quiet and respectfully. I think a lot of of 2A folks are going to be very surprised after the next six weeks of football are played, (after all games through Nov 19th), as to which teams are still playing and which teams are done.
