If you want to get ultimate consistency out of officials, go to your Athletic Director and ask why EVERY VARSITY GAME IS NOT A THREE MAN. That is the Home Team's choice. If you want officials to be absolutely consistant in the three man system, they need to work it every night, not once a month.

 

If you don't understand the coverage areas for either the three or two man system, then don't assume you know whose call it should be.

 

ATM, as always -- you've been the voice of enlightenment in the storm.

There are referees out there that do not like the three man. In there opinion, the refs are waiting for the other two to make the call and nothing gets called. This comes from a veteran referee.

Consistency is the key. Consistency of calls between teams within the same game is probably most important.

However, consistency of calls game to game as well as referee to referee can go a long way.

I have been to 3 girls High School games and over 40 fouls called in each game. One game had over 50 fouls. Why so many?? It is getting out of hand!

I love the preseason.......everyone has their opinion and it causes good fun discussions. I believe we can all agree that the 10th region will be interesting. I hope all players stay healthy and we can see how it plays out all season long without injuries!
