Lawrence County beats Piekville in a scrimmage 30-14 varsity, they brought in Jv and Freshmen the 2nd half. Lawrence County looked dominant,had 2 more touchdowns but they were called back for penalties. Chandler Shepherd looked really good at quarterback, had some nice runs and throws. Shane Pack had a 60 yd td right up the middle, and the whole defense played solid. Good job Dawgs.

What's everyone's thoughts on this game Friday in Pikeville? I want to hear thoughts and predictions. My prediction is Lawrence28 Pikeville 21

Lawrence went 1-9 last year also, their only win was against Boyd County. Should be a good game against North Laurel. Going by Lawrence County's scrimmage Saturday, they looked like a totally different team then the past few years.

They scrimmaged East Carter this past weekend, and this Friday they scrimmage Pikeville at Pikeville then thats it. First game is next Friday at North Laurel. How does everyone think they will do against them?

East Carter had alot of kids out there, I don't know the exact number but there was quite a bit of them. They played hard too, had some athletic kids on that team.

Yeah that is true, I got to watch the scrimmage for half an hour, and the bulldogs looked really good running the ball. the qb for Lawrence throws a very nice ball, and shows good arm strength. If I'm not mistaken, there are alot of new faces out there that make this team alot better then last year. The big runnig back Shane Pack looked really good had some nice holes up the middle, and also some nice sweep plays. Overall, I was very pleased with the scrimmage for the Bulldogs. Does anyone else have anything to say about this one?

I was able to watch this one today, here are my thoughts even though it's very early. Lawrence County looked like they came to play early, both teams were fired up.Lawrence ran the ball very well on a few dive plays, sweeps and quarterback bootlegs. They did pass the ball with some effectivness, Chandler did throw for a 40 yd td pass to Blake Bradley I think overall tds were Lawrence(3 or 4) East carter 0 I had to leave early to get back to work, but I talked to someone who said both freshmen teams looked really good Also, Lawrence seems to be loaded with some running backs #20 is a beast more of a power back then they have 2 or 3 fast backs who showed some of their talent Also, the quarterback for LC Chandler Shepherd had some really nice hard runs, overall good scrimmage for Lc.

I was lucky enough to go to school with both West and Parker. These guys weren't in it for the numbers, even though those were great, they just wanted to win and get that state championship.They came close a few times.Both of these guys were awesome at what they did. There were some many great athletes from LC that year. Larry Paul Thornsbury who transferred from Pike County, Justin Maxie a great blocking back. Travis Hughes in my mind the best fullback I have ever seen play the game in person. The whole line that year was awesome, and the defense wasn't too shabby either. Those were the good days, it was a honor and a pleasure to watch them.

I think they need to work in the weight room a little bit more, which I have been hearing they have been. They also need to get in better shape, in some of their games last year, they seemed to be a step or two slower later in the game.

So does anyone know Lawrence Countie's schedule for this year? I know we open at North Laurel,but I dont know who we play after that. All I'm hearing so far is all positive feedback from their practices.So how does everyone think the dawgs will do this year?

I heard Lawrence County had one of it's best spring turnouts recently, I talked to a family member of a football player, and she had told me 70 kids showed up. I haven't been able to confirm that yet, if someone who was there could let me know how many showed up, and how they looked. I heard Chandler Shepherd is looking really good, and we should be alot better on the offensive and defensive lines this year Also, does anyone have a Lawrence County schedule for this year?

Congratulations to PRP, very tough team to beat. Lawrence County played their hearts and guts out last night, and anyone there, no matter who they were ruting for could see that. These kids have come a long way, and they deserved to be there. They shut down a very good Greenup County team which was on a roll. They then shut out a good Lexington Catholic team, then coming back 2 hours later and playing the best team in the state. It looked like they had just run out of steam a little bit. It's tough to play two games in that many hours. let alone be two really good teams. My heart goes out to that team and that staff, nothing to hang your heads on. You represend Eastern Ky like it should be, good luck in the future guys. Go Dawgs!!!

I was listening to the game on the radio last night, Lawrence County was winning 9-0 with one inning to go. Good job boys keep it going state here we come!! I believe its the 15th region championship now, good luck guys.

:ylsuper:I was listening to the post game show on this game last night, they said Lawrence Co dominated this one in 5 innings due to a rain delay 14-4. I know they play the winner of the Allen Central vs Phelps game today at 8:00 p.m. Good job dawgs, keep it up!!

Well I don't understand why some people act they way that they do, there is no reason to act immature about this, I was just asking a simple question. Sorry for asking would be the proper thing to say I guess. Well good luck to Greenup County in the playoffs, they always give Lawrence a good game. I honestly belive its going to come down to these two teams to go to Lexington. Can I get some response for that please?
