All 13 of Friday’s football games involving Jefferson County public high schools this weekend have been called off because of continuing power problems associated with Sunday’s storm.
Henderson County, which was scheduled to play at Manual Friday, will instead play at Bullitt East, at 8 p.m.
Cincinnati St. Xavier’s game at Trinity has been moved to Papa John’s Cardinal Stadium at 7:30 p.m. Friday; Trinity’s stadium had no power as of Wednesday afternoon.
At least two games involving local schools will go off as planned.
Holy Cross, which resumes school Thursday, will play host to Caverna at 7:30 Friday.
Beth Haven will play at Berea at 7:30.
Public school athletic directors will probably try to work some of Friday’s game into their bye weeks, said Jerry Wyman, athletic director for Jefferson County Public Schools.
Among the scheduled games that won’t be played Friday:
Central at Bullitt East (Bullitt East will instead be host to Henderson County)
Ballard at Butler
Pleasure Ridge Park at Eastern
Valley at Fairdale
Moore at Fern Creek
Anderson County at Jeffersontown
Henderson County at Manual (Henderson County will play at Bullitt East)
Waggener at North Bullitt
Doss at Shelby County
Male at St. Xavier
Iroqouis at Southern
Atherton at Western
Johnson Central at Shawnee
