This has been kept pretty quiet as far as who might take over. Last years Freshman coach was Chris Groger who would do a nice job. Ann Jillian I believe is the student counselor at HC and would also be a good choice. She played college ball and has some coaching experience. Dick Maile is a first rate individual who is an excellent teacher of fundamentals. Looks like there are some good candidates for the job.

I'm hearing that last years Freshman girls coach has accepted a teaching position. Could he be moving up ?

Looked to me like Mason had the athletes to match up with Holmes defensively. Not many teams do. Was not as impressed with Miller as much as I was with Middleton. Miller is probably a better athlete, but Middleton looks like a better basketball player. Is he a Senior ? UK should be taking a look at him.

Thanks for the info. My daughter will be a Sophomore next year and we've always done the NKU camp. Wanted to try something different.

Actually interested in the High School division. Got a brochure in the mail this week. Just looking for some feedback as to whether it's worth the time and money.

Didn't appear that way against Boone. Not sure about the running part. Looked like they had 2 girls wearing knee braces.

I've seen both teams this year (Conner 4 times and ND twice ). Seems to me that Conner likes a fast paced game, however, I think they can play any style. They execute well in half court and pass the ball well. ND looks like a team that wants to play a physical game and mix it up underneath. Be interesting to see if the officials let 'em play. I think there were over 40 fouls called in the ND/Boone contest. I'll agree with Cardinal Fan, if their both on their game, it's gonna be close. But I picked ND before the tourney started.

They wouldn't have enough time. I do believe they will clear the gym for semi's Friday. The game times are farther apart.

Best 2 teams I saw this year were Highlands and Conner. They don't rely on any one player to carry the load offensively, and Highlands plays very good defense. Boone leans heavily on Behrens . When I saw ND play they didn't show much enthusiasm. However, that was mid-season. If they can beat a good Holy Cross team by 35 in the District final, that's impressive !! I'll go with ND over HHS in the final.

I would have to look at Holmes as underachievers. Weaver and Webb are tall and talented, and they have a couple of nice outside shooters. Seemed like they only played when they felt like it. Is Weaver going to Division 1 school ?

Agreed that Ryle & HC were overachievers and with a bright future. Dixie struggled with a lack of height and depth. Yes they are a young team for the most part. For a school their size, they should be much better.

Good defense by both teams. Not many easy baskets in this one.

Dixie won the first meeting this year by 6. So no, not an upset.

You'll have to excuse me here, I'm not that well versed in players across the state. What schools do Reid and Novesel go to? Are they both Seniors ?

I've seen both teams this year. I like Ryle's offense and Boone's defense. Tough call here, should go down to the wire. I'll go with the old saying that "Defense wins Championships". Boone by 2.

Any idea if all districts in NKY (31 thru 37) draw ? And, does it have to be unanimous as far as voting on whether to draw or seed ? I thought I saw in an earlier thread that in some districts, some of the schools favor seeding but not all the schools. I guess some of the 1a schools figure they'll never make it to the regional if their seeded with schools that are 4,5,and 6a. However, they do have their own "ALL A CLASSIC" .

In the game earlier this year, Dixie couldn't stop Daugherty down low. Look for more of the same. ( If they both make it )
