Satterly (Purple Pride JR) shooting free throws...got 'em both! 62 - 57 Rebels
-
Boyle leads 60-57 with 30 seconds to go.....
-
Looking forward to scouting Cody Collins tonight.
I wasn't impressed.....thought I would be seeing more from someone who was named the KABC 12th Region Player of the Year. I guess everyone has a sub-par game, but I just didn't see anything great. Not judging; just sayin'!

Satterly finished with 30 points, 3 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 steals.
Good job to JR PP92!

Tyson DID play most of the game and then sat the fourth quarter with ice on his knee. He missed several shots, but rebounded well, and you couldn't really tell that he was having any pain while he was playing. He and Luke did a good job guarding each other, and neither of them got a lot of touches inside, so you can credit both of them for their defense. Neither scored like they usually do. Coach Jackson played the bench from the 5:40 mark to go in the 4th qtr. and McCreary still hadn't hit the 20 point mark until they put in their JV. I know they played a game Monday night so maybe no legs? :idunno: Whatever the reason, a good win for Lincoln!

Final from Stearns......

Congrats to Quan and the rest of the Madison Central team! What a great win!
-
Lincoln is playing great ball right now but they have yet to prove they can beat any of the top 3-4 teams in the 12th region. Good luck the rest of the year.
And yes, Pulaski killed us and we lost to East Jess by 3, but we have yet to play Southwestern, and I would consider Lincoln to be one of the top 4 teams in the region at this point in the season.
-
lincoln played central really well and it shows they can play with anyone
-
Two thoughts:
1) Lincoln County is really beginning to play well. They are the district favorite and could shock some teams in the region.
2) Madison Central was already thinking about tomorrow night's game with Trinity.
You are right...one of their starters, who will remain unnamed, told my son that they weren't worried about this game and that the coach was gonna sit the starters after halftime and just play the bench! :idunno:

Tyson sat with me at at the Lincoln/Garrard game on Tuesday night and told me that he dislocated his left kneecap but would definitely be back to play when Lincoln travels to McCreary next Tuesday night. Now, whether he was told he could play by then or if he was just being optimistic remains to be seen, but I hope he is not out for long. I LOVE that kid! :thumb:

Well, I am one of the five people who picked Mercer to win the region, so my prediction looks good so far! If only my Lincoln team could have made it to the tournament..........

Anyone have results from this afternoon's games?
-
Wow.
Nice win for the Pats, especially considering what LCA did last night to Lafayette. The Eagles could have been out of gas.
Well, the same could be said for the Patriots if they had lost also.
They probably had less "gas" last night than LCA because that was Lincoln's fourth game in six days. And they have three more this next week! I think that LCA just thought that this game was a "gimme" and found out that they were WRONG! All three games (freshman, JV, and varsity) were great games, by the way, with Lincoln winning the freshman game, losing the JV game in triple OT, and the great win in varsity. Congrats to the Patriots!:ylsuper:

I think that that first game was a fluke- kind of like the UK/South Carolina game. Lincoln County just thought this was the same old Boyle team they beat last year and they are definitely better than last year's team! While I think it will be a close game this time, I am going with Lincoln on their home court. I hope we will not hear chants from Boyle's students this time of things like we heard at their place.... TOTALLY inappropriate!!!
-
Lincoln has also beaten Wayne and West Jess on their home courts, but then lost to teams like East Jess and Boyle. We have Mercer still to play, but after seeing everyone else, I would put McCreary on top and the rest could be thrown in anywhere.:idunno:
-
Seven seniors on the team I was told last night and I believe they start five of them.
-
Kyle Skaggs had 24 for Russell vs. Fleming Co.
:clap::clap::clap:
-
Guess that means he won't be playing tonight in the Lincoln/Danville basketball game......
-
How did the rest of the games go??
-
Yes, after reading everything over the 8th region this year, only one thing is to be said. The 8th region is going to be very tough this year. No team will be safe. I think we will be watching alot of teams being upset. No team is safe in the 8th. Thats my new slogan.
No team is safe in the 8th!:ylsuper:
And your point is....?

Rockcastle has decent size if everyone does play, and what I saw of Casey Co. is they will surprise a few people.
As will Lincoln County!:thumb:

A HS kid who is used to going to bed at 11 & getting up at 7 to go to school is not as sharp when they go to bed at 11 and are forced to get up at 5:15 to practice at 6.
My kids WISH I would let them go to bed at 11! They are 16, 15, and 13 and have to be in bed by 10 on school nights. I am a big believer that still growing teenagers need their sleep. Of course they think that I don't know anything!

My boys have had two this week! Glad it's not me, lol.
