Final from Bellevue

I am really surprised it is a sanctioned KHSAA game. Families hosting is a pretty cool experience. Would be even better if they recipricated in Austrailia during our summer break. Dixie has won this game by an average of 14 points over the last four years.

It looks like Dixie is playing the Aussie Travel team tomorrow night. I have seen these boys and girls teams over the last few years so it must be here to stay. I think I will do the Highlands v Cov Cath instead. I suspect the Dixie cheering section might let out more than a few Aussie aussie aussie oi oi oi's.

I have watched these teams in the past and they don't seem all that good. What is the novelty? Why play a team and risk injury when it doesn't even count in standings? What am I missing?

When and where does this begin?

All tourny selections always make for hard feelings. I like when each game has a star of the game and then a tourny MVP. 4 from New Cath just too many. My opinion of course.

It is the year of the Cru.......they might just be a giant killer come Regionals.

I will second this, I look forward to this event yearly.

CK, how do they fund this type of trip? It has to be expensive.

Schult must be back to near 100 percent, I thought he would have a hard time working back into this dynamic line up. Great to see him already contributing.

Did Cov Cath pull any students to the games in Lexington?

I think he sticks his tounge out during player introductions! With all seriousness, I can not remember him sitting out during any of these games. Amazing cardio.

I was duely impressed with Hightchew throughout this tourney. He penetrates and dishes or penetrate and finishes as well as anyone in the 9th. Very quick move to the basket.

It is his trademark, seems dangerous but then again it seems to work for him.

I have seen them both and it is fair to say they are both exceptional talents. Maybe they can answer the question in college in a few years.

Fern Creek also took the opportunity to rest their players throughout the Lloyd contest. They should be the fresher team.

Owensboro Catholic 71 Notre Dame Academy 66, OT Sophomore guard Becca Greenwell scored 44 points as the Lady Aces outlasted the Pandas in overtime. Owensboro Catholic plays George Rogers Clark at 7 tonight for the championship. Greenwell scored 10 points in overtime for the Lady Aces (9-3), who also got nine points from Lauryn Yevincy. Lizzy Brannen scored 22 for Notre Dame Academy (6-3), which led 24-20 at halftime.
