Region Two tips off with Madisonville taking on Webster Co. They have met one time this year. Madisonville won 51-48. However that was with Hood and Webster was missing one of their star players. Are you talking about Madisonville? Because Hood has scored well over 1/4th of his team's points this year and pretty much the same stats as far as rebounds, three pointers, and field throws. He is a great player and a BIG part of the team. With him out I honestly don't think they could even beat Christian Co. much less UH. Next year when Hood comes back they will be one of the Favorites to win Region Two. But this year ended when Hood got hurt.

Hopson was out for part of the game against Hopkins County. The whole team is clicking right now... With Hood out i'd say the only real threat is Henderson County.

IMO i'd say County (Christian County... we just call it County down here) is just about the best 10-18 team in the history of Kentucky Basketball.

I agree with you there MCHS. WHOEVER comes out of the 11th will be worn out for sure. I personally think Mason has the best chance.

Not really a favorite in my opinion but the main three are of course Marshall, Paducah Tilghman, and Graves Co. I picked PT in my bracket but I hope Marshall can pull it out.

That's true but i'd say UH is running full throttle right now and isn't going to let up. During the time they beat MC they had lost 3 games within 23 days (Hoptown, Male, and Hopkins County) They have won 14 in a row (including All "A") and just won one of the toughest district's this side of the state. I think that if they don't fall to one of the Region Two teams that they will be able to keep up with whoever comes out of the 11th. It's just a question of can they put it away with 5 minutes to go in the game. And also on a side note. Everyone is saying the 11th will win it because of the teams in that region. So does that mean if the 11th loses in the first or second round of the Sweet 16 that whoever beat them will win state because they just beat the 11th???

District 8 Finals. UH was led by Seniors Scotty Hopson who had 25 pts (15 in the fourth), Tyshwan Edmondson had 23, and DaQuan Brown had 19. The win gives UH their 14th straight going into the Region Two tournament. This is Randy McCoy's first year coaching at UH and when asked about how he feels about the 8th District (Christian Co, Fort Campbell, Hoptown, and UH) he responded by saying, "This district is tougher than a week in the Elkhorn City Jail and let me tell you, that's pretty tough." One other quote was when he was talking about WKY basketball. "It reminds me of the old mountain rivalries in the early 1990's. There was always 3,000 people there and that's what this reminds me of. That part is relevant, but athletically it is just unbelievable down here." Congrats on your first district title Coach McCoy and good luck to all the Blazers next week!

Well how about this? We have Hopson and Mack in the first round of the Sweet 16 and the winner then play Miller in the Finals and whoever wins be named Mr. Basketball.

I think that's what HT means. Not alot of people from WKY so sometimes it might cause a biased decision somewhat on the rest of the state. If I post a thread about Fulton City High School then 98.7% of the people on here couldn't care less or probably doesn't even know where Fulton City is at.
