Congrats to Twenhofel on a great year!!! Way to keep the trophy in Independence!!!

It's a shame the way this year has turned out for Summit View. IMO with the team they had, minus the injuries and suspensions, they wouldn't have been beat at all. The team had at least 1 starter out against Highlands, Sharp and all of their loses. I think they only played at full strength for 4-5 games, which were all blowouts. I understand injuries happen, but when the starting 5 were on the floor together they were fun to watch!!

Summit View 49, CC Purple 36. Sampson had his way tonight, scoring at will. Swanson did a good job running the point, scoring when needed. Will follow up later with the final at Woodland.

Summit View beat Blessed Sacrament last night 55-19. Everyone in a Jag uniform scored, as it wasn't much of a contest. SV lead 19-2 at the end of the first, then cruised. Leading scorers were Huesman and Eric Pouncy. Glad the weather held off, so their game tonight against CC Purple and Woodland tomorrow will go on as planned.

Sampson's not a guard, you're thinking of Swanson. Sampson was hurt when Summit played Highlands. Summit plays Twenhofel on Feb. 5th, so we'll get to see how we stand without McClendon.

Summit View rolled over Turkeyfoot tonight 64-27. High scoring honors were shared by Sampson (22) and Huesman (40) with 16 each. Didn't seem to be missing McClendon much...they moved the ball extremely well and played the usual solid "D". Everyone with a jersey on scored for the Jags.

Summit View's 7th grade is 17-1 on the season. Only loss coming at the hands of CC purple in the first game of the year (CC tourney) with 2 starters out. Play Turkeyfoot tonight, Blessed Sacrament Thurs., CC Purple Fri. and possible make up with Woodland Sat.

Summit View was scheduled to play St. Pius tonight also! Guess someone messed up on the schedule!

From what I understand (and this is strictly hearsay), the Boone schools weren't real happy with how one of the Kenton schools handled 1 of their players. Apparently, he was held back for no educational reasons, only athletic. That's what severed ties between the Boone/Kenton schools. Those 2 counties played each other for as long as I can remember (before I played, which was quite a while ago). Again, this is only hearsay, I'm not real close to the situation!

Summit View 43 Blessed Sacrament 30 (7th grade). SV missing 4-5 kids due to injury and illness. Looked real sluggish 1st half, but decided to play a little in the 2nd.

Franzen did enjoy beating CC purple. They're the only team Summit's 7th has lost to since they've been together. Summit has Holmes on Tues. and Blessed Sacrament on Thurs. If you are interested, I'll keep you posted. I'm #40 (Jacob Huesman's) Dad. As it stands right now, 4 of the starting 5 (including Mcclenden) are going to go to SK along with Twenhofel's team.
