It's not an opinion if you go back and watch game video and see the missed calls of player position, obvious hacks, traveling and others. I know the refs can't make every call, but from what I have seen, and not my opinion there are a few refs that should not be at the high school level. A few missed calls here and there are fine, but to butcher the entire game is unacceptable when they are being paid to do a job. I really prefer to hold my tongue about officiating, but some have warranted discussion.

First of all, these refs are getting paid to do a job. And some of them really just can't do it. Much as I love the game, I would never take such a position unless I knew for sure I could do a great job. This is not a position where you can learn as you go. At the high school level, the questionable calls have more meaning as far as winning and losing records. The main issue is that there are a lot of great coaches here, and the different skills that they are teaching are being thrown to the shed,because the refs can't make a simple call such as a charge or someone going over the back of a great box out. The questionable officials should remain at the middle school level until they are more proficient at what they are getting paid to do.

I am new to this area, and I have to say a majority of the refs I have seen should not be officiating high school games. It's hard to sit through a game and enjoy it because of the amount of mistakes these refs are making. So, I can't blame the coaches for trying to work the refs.

The refs allowed this game to be controlled by a physical type team and not a finess team. I really hate to see what could be an an excellent game be destroyed by clueless refs. These two were by far the worse that I have seen all year. The call on Popp which then followed with a technical foul was questionable at that point in a game, not to mention many other calls. At least they were bad on both sides of the ball. Rebounding played a big difference in this game. But it's hard to get a rebound when you have someone up over your back. Boone will bounce back from this I'm sure. Just as the teams watch game film to learn, so should these refs. I usually hold my tongue, but this warranted chat.
