Scroggins has some of the best 8th graders coming into the building next year. Central is on everyone list of schools to go to. Scroggins is not going to Male.

Louisville Central RB, Anthony Wales in the first 2 rounds of the playoffs;

512 yards rushing 8 TD's and 1 TD Pass. How does this compare with some of the other RB in the state?

T will have all they can ask for with SC. If there is a year for a public school to beat T, this is it.

Guys Scoggins is not a bad coach but in last years state title game he had 9 kids on the field 6-7 times. Alot of his scores even in that game were just a player making a play. But getting talent out is a big skill that he has. Lets not forget that realignment has benefited central as well.

 

Western Hills staff will need to spread the ball around to beat central, this is not their strong point, the wins they have had it has usually been from one player (curry or wright) having a big night.

I have all the State games on DVD from last season. This statement has got me watching the game over again. Just finished, and I could not count one time that there were 9 players on the field. Either on offense, defense, or special teams. You need to watch the film and count before you make statements on this board that are false.

As far as players making plays. Is that not what you ask your players to do every time they take the field. A Coach calls the plays and you hope that everyone does their job, and the ball carrier runs hard. The only one play of last years State game that you can say was not called and players making something happen was: when the QB, (KING) ran right and reversed field and scored on the left side.

I hate when we get on here and bash high school coaches. Guys that we already know do not get paid for the time they put in. Guys that spend more time at the high school with other peoples kids and less time with their own. Guys that are just coaches, dads, teachers, mentors, friends, and etc.

I hope both teams play hard and the best team wins friday night.

The "backup" has played a lot in the past two seasons, both at QB and RB. He's certainly not a greenie that's been watching all season.

 

The only team that's going to keep Central out of the 3-A title game IS Central.

Is this the same Bolden kid that has played some QB in both State Championship Games? If so, he should be ready.

From the KHSAA stats, looks like they moved Bolden to QB. The only thing he did was run for 150 yards on 15 carries. Chris King will be missed but Bolden looks to be ready for the job.

I don't think they will ever see E'town this year. E'town dropping to the lower bracket, makes this game almost a dream game. Central is loaded and getting better.

Last season Central won the first game between Shawnee by 14, (28-14). The second time was by 36, (40-6). This game is a rival game to Shawnee and Shawnee only. I think Scroggins down plays this game. E'town has become a more rival than Shawnee in his eyes.

This is a much different team than in the past. But I would not count them out of anything just yet. Do not read too much into that score.

The freshmen QB that started and led the team to all 3 touchdowns, (scoring once himself) is going to good. Along with the 47 freshmen and who knows how many incoming athletes they get, I would be willing to bet they will be making a trip in December for many years to come.

It may have been that they could not compete with them. Ballard and Central played last night. Central won 28-0.

My bad, I meant to say #8 in the second part. The EAST is loaded. Those playoff games should be great games. Central should make it to at-least the semi-finals in the WEST.

Does anyone know what channel in Louisville picks up the statewide scoreboard show with Rick Shaw and former KHSAA Commissioner Louis Stout?

What 6A team plays all 6A schools? Central did play up this year. They had to have know what they were getting into. My hat goes off to them playing the big boys. I do hope they are not banged up too bad for 3A football.

Outcome of the game; NO-ONE GETS HURT

Was at Louisville Central today. Their varsity is not reporting to camp until Monday. With that being said, the field was packed with players. 50 freshmen are going through a 3 day camp before the older guys report. I am impressed with their turnout. Kids are now wanting to go to Central. Good luck this season.

the couple of emails I have recieved from people who were there,

the CovCath players felt they were the best team on the field last night.

Louisville Central blasted them by 3 or more TD's twice.

Louisville Central looked very impressive. They played 6 games and outscored all three teams each time. They were really never challenged at all. They scored at will on everyone. They also had some pretty big stops on Defense.

Trinity, Jeff, and CC all played the same defense. Was surprised there was not more from those teams.

I think the 2A State Championship should go to Central. Yes, it is hard for me to believe that these officials could mess this up. These officials not only are high school, but college officials. My heart goes out to the Central kid that should be the State Champion in the 300 Hurdles. Nevertheless, he falls on the 5th hurdle the second time...finishing dead last. Because the officials gave him 15 mintues to rest after running the last leg of the 4x4.

What bothers me the most...is that the KHSAA top guns were at the race and negleted to protect the kid. Any top official knows you can not recover from running a 400 in 15 mintues. Why did they not protect and help this kid?

What do you guys/gals think? Should this have been ran over?

Yep, it's a great day to be a CovCath Colonel.

If you can live with yourself and know that you guys really did not win that championship, it is a great day. But everyone with the exception of CovCath fans know the truth. When as a race every been ran over. You guys were so rude, that you didn't even clap for the kid as he made it over the last hurdles after falling. Knowing he just ran the last leg of the 4x4 and your kid had not ran a race for the past 2 hours. Class Act.

Why did I put it on the football forum? Because you know, just like I know, everyone reads the football forums. I assume you do not want the state to know the truth. Don't tell me to get over it. Watch the film, it does not lie.
