  1. And there it is.

Why is it that if a team beats T or X that they used varsity players. Other post on another site mentioned that Central played 2 sophomores that start varsity. Central's roster list 20 SR and 20 JR. I'm pretty sure that a lot of those JR's are JV players. Here is a fact from the game. Central played the entire game with a FR at QB, HB, WR, and C.

  2. Too bad there are no Central Fans on here for this game. St.X coaching staff would not have won more state championships if they were at Central. You guys really have no clue on what that staff at Central has done. Winning in 6A or 3A, you still have to play the game. Lets get real; Trinity is head and shoulders above everyone, then there is 6A. 6A football is down this year. Look at all the teams that have lost to schools that are not 6A.

Central will do just fine Friday night, and pull the upset. Their defense is as good as anyone's. They gave up 49 total yards last week. Stopped Evansville Reitz running game, (by the way) Reitz beat a KY 6A power. I also was at the Scott County scrimmage, and saw that defense give up only 13 points. X better be ready.

  3. Nothing like the JJ issue. Wales only carried the ball 14 times for 137. It was the first play of the 4th when he caught the TD pass. He only carried the ball 3 times

last week and then was taken out. My question is why does he not touch the ball more than he does. Looking at the KHSAA website, he only carries the ball maybe 20 times....if that. Scroggins must know what he is doing.

  4. I don 't think Central will ever be able to "do the little things" correctly to win over a team like St X.

A system with more disciplined players won this game over a team with more athleticism and team speed.

I really hate how the word non-disciplined players are tagged to Central players. Why can't Central every lose to St.X or Trinity and not have that word put on them. Central was never in a wrong formation because they did not know what to do. Central had "1" penalty for 5 yards. If you watched the game it was not because they were more disciplined, it was because "X" made one more play then Central to win the game. X's staff did a great job of finding the weakness of Central, just as did Central do X.

Define disciplined (white players) Define athleticism and Speed (black players).???? There is always someone on here after or before the game that uses that word "discipline", when they talk about Central. That tag needs to be taken off and just say it was a great game between two programs. I would love to read and see if the word discipline is used next week after the X/T game.

  5. I will be consistent as I complained about the record last week and say that if this game was decided early(and judging by the score I'm sure it was) then Central's coach is just as bad as Matney! If anyone has details to the contrary I will apologize in advance.

Is there any sportsmanship left in high school sports??

Wales was taken out of the game with 5 min. to go in the 2nd quarter. He carried the ball 14 times. Do not put Central's coach in the same boat as Matney. Scroggins could have went for the state record. Wales could have had well over 600 yards rushing.

  6. I would say that Central is the only team in the State of KY that is playing all 6A schools. Not to mention the best 6A schools. Does anyone know rather or not there is another school that plays all 6A? It is going to be tough for that staff to keep the players mental right. Good luck Central. Why schedule these teams?

  7. Central better find a QB and LB's.

PT exposed them, stopping the run game. They were not scared of Central's passing game with King out. LB's how do you replace Patterson. That defense will not look the same without him and two years ago Wilson at LB's.
