I have read a couple posts on here and it seems that their maybe players or parents of players starting to get worried about if little Johnny is going to play. If Larkey is your new coach your politics want make any headways, he will field the best team possible. So you will not have to worry, if you just work harder than the next guy.

Most complain about the KHSAA and then when it comes down to it they hide behind it. When you recruit, you recruit. The responses I get are, "the KHSAA found nothing wrong in what we are doing". Please don't tell me because the math teacher is standing beside you, it makes it alright because it's not solely athletics. It is the whole experience. Again I will never agree with some of these policies.

If you are implying that Bell is dodging Belfry you are mistaking. First of all that is our problem we have teams the Caliber of Belfry right here, without the 4 hour drive and they won't play. So make the trip on over here if you want to.

How about we split into open and closed? I do believe that it would seperate public and private with a few public joining them. How does this solve the things I talked about? It looks to be the compromise I could live with.

No ,but that coupled with tuition that I will have to pay for with no help. Plus the question is what causes such an uneven playing field, for lack of a better term. I think that it is just one of many. I really would just rather agree to disagree for now. I really like the idea of LBBC and would love to explore that into more depth.

During the open house who explains athletics , lunch lady? If any coach or administrator public or private talks to them about comming to their school, it is wrong.

I think that he was pointing to the "total school experience" phenomenon. Athletics side.

Funny thing when Middlesboro was beating Bell for 25 years, Bell didn't quit. I don't think GREAT teams would either. :irked:

I agree 100%. Larkey and Harlan County would be a great fit for us. I think that it would become one of the best games in the mountains the first year. If coach Hilton is reading I would love for him to try to work something out for next year. They are looking and I know a few games on our schedule we could possibly work out. Look at the Cumberland- Cawood game, and our Leslie game same week.Lets all work something out and you would not have to travel as far next year for a couple of games.:thumb:

Sure we are. It has a big impact on the entire district and region. Coach Larkey is a fine coach. We at Bell have a big interest in this as well.

Again do you realize that it comes straight out of my pocket in all accounts both in taxes and tuition with no help. Lets stay with J-Town not public/private

Ban all of them for a year from playoffs. Fire the coaches and administrators. It will stop.

I Don't care if they GIVE you 1$. I can't get it in the public school. Not to mention what I fell are other advantages with things that open house gives you. And I don't want to beat this horse again, about sending my child to Corbin from Bell. Private schools continue to get in trouble for violations dealing with money. You will not EVER find that in public.

Why? They know the answer, they just want do anything. This is not my entire arguement with public/private. The money issue stands big with me. Financial Aid of any kind. Operating proceedures and the difference of the two. Anyone can break the rules.

Doesn't matter cheating is cheating. Should be banned from playoffs. All of them. When administrators and coaches do this type of thing they should be banned 1 year. If parents and kids lie and get the school in trouble then maybe not, but that is why we investagate. Let's look @ KHSAA if they continue this weak punishment, do you blame them for what these schools do. Once you establish a good program it will recruit itself. The punishment is so light that many will take it in trade for the success. I hate to say this, but I'm getting to where I don't blame them anymore.

If Larkey wants the job and has taken it, he will not tell anyone until his players know. Of course not stating facts, but to much of a coincidense for this to be false. Usually where there is smoke there is fire. If he doesn't change his mind, I believe that he has told them (Harlan County) that he would take it. I don't care if any of you are a best friend you can't call him on the phone and he tell you, so you can put it here or rest your mind. If he does change his mind Harlan County will not look good after this. Hilton went a couple weeks and turned them down. Now Larkey waiting this long and changing his mind, what then? Where are you Blackbears 08? Give us the inside, because we know you have it. Maybe third choice dips into Lexington?
