Lol, kinda. The old unlimited plans are good but the bills are quite high. Depending on your actual usuage (I say actual because some people just assume they use more than they do) you're probably better off on a shared data plan. When I meet customers with unlimited I never try and force them off the plan or anything like that. I lay out their options based on data usage and help them decide what's best. Pay more for data you don't use or save, get enough data, and new phones. Each situation is different. We have the newer unlimited plans if you have Directv as well. Unfortunately, the one thing I always tell customers who are on the old plans, ATT will never force you to switch plans but the new ways to upgrade are not built around those plans so it's not gonna work out in your favor.

Without knowing specifics because of not knowing your plan. Here goes. Yeah. We've offered Next for 3 years but had the options for subsidized contract pricing up until Jan. Of this year. Which for most people, it's word different doing an upgrade this way but the overall bill is no different for most people than what it was on the old plans.

Actually Snottie is correct, and you are too. Apple is making wireless ear buds and they're gonna use something like Bluetooth to connect. But the standard head phones will be wired and use the Lightning port.

That's not totally accurate because here this past year is when carriers started offering the $25 discount when out of contract. Old style plans didn't fluctuate based on if you did a contract or not so back when the 3GS first came out it probably wasn't like that. Now today it's similar to you're example though.

Who is the carrier? If it's AT&T then it doesn't matter if she has a contract or not. The phone is yours. Only problem I see sometimes are with people selling phones to someone then they report it stolen. I say have her meet you at the store of the carrier and make sure all is good and then have them notate the account. After that you should be fine.
