I've always said that Barry Sanders was the best, and I say that in conjunction with not meaning any disrespect to any of the other greats. He was fun to watch and can actually be crowned as the most elusive runner of all time. He was able to accomplish amazing statistics over the course of ten seasons just like all the great backs in the NFL, but did it with an extremly mediocre team; again for ten seasons. Thats consistency. To me, he was the symbol of the professional football player. No TD dances, no off-field distractions, just playing football.
