The point here is that Coach Feldhaus has done the "hand shake" after all the games this season.........gets beat at a game they were favored to win and walks straight to the locker room. This is not setting a good example for the student athletes!!!

 

Needless to say, I think the after game handshake demonstrates both character and sportsmanship. In life after basketball (i.e. the "real business world") most face to face deals are closed with a handshake after tough negotiations. Might as well get used to it!

 

 

After those tough negotiations everybody walks away happy. Never seen people walk away happy after a loss. Never heard anyone say that shaking hands after high school games shaped them into the person they are either. Shaking hands is overrated and I have never nor would I think less of anyone who decides not to shake hands. Not everyone accepts losses easily. I won't fault anyone for being emotionally detached immediately after a tough loss.

Naw, after Duke beat UNC the first time I stated the rest of the season doesn't matter to me. I've always felt this way about post game handshakes. I never liked them as a kid and my oldest son got into a shoving match(he wasn't the initiator for all you wise guys out there) during one during I summer basketball of all moments. I just have no use for them.
