“I feel like this is the best job in the state of Kentucky,” Collins said. “I’ve spent 22 years as a teacher and coach in Georgia, five of those as a head coach, and this program is top-notch compared to those in Georgia. I'm very familiar with Clark County football and it's exciting to be here and I look forward to working with these young men.”

Collins was a quarterback and receiver at Liberty University.

What a great hire...GRC not only hired a great coach but a great person as well...

People in Winchester should be very excited. You've just picked up a quality coach and a great role model.

Tell Coach Collins when you see him that if he needs a quality equipment manager or aquatic engineer that I am his man!!

Congrats Dr. Steve Collins. Mt. Sterling will miss you. Expect GRC to put up some BIG NUMBERS this year. Looking forward to see who he hires as assistants, believe I heard he has 8 positions to fill with whomever he wants.

Looking forward to the beginning of the Collins tenure here in Winchester. He has impeccable credentials and I am looking forward to see the excitement of football next season!

rumor on the street is that GRC might have a back transfering in that is suppose to be the real deal...maybe from new york...anybody else hear this?

I would like to say Congrats to Coach Collins, he will be missed at Montgomery County! As a former MC player he was always nice and respectful to me even though i played before he got to Montgomery County. I was interested to see who would get the job and what a great hire for GRC. Montgomery County was very lucky to have him for the time that they did. I wish him nothing but luck, except for when he is playing the Indians. It seems like GRC always has the talent but not the discipline, if Collins can bring that to the cards' the future is bright in Winchester.
