Tyler Black comes back tonight and put in something like 20 points. Mason Co is a different team with him on the floor.

Tyler Black played his first game of the season for Mason Co. and had 23 points and 12 rebounds. Mason had two others with double doubles. Monroe for Pendleton had 28.

Monroe is all Pendleton has. That's the reason I don't think they are a serious regional contender. They'd be one bad game from one player away from being ousted in post season play. They need another weapon badly.

Congrats to Mason on the big win! Sounds like Black is ready to play.

Not sure, but his sister De'Sarae plays for University of Dayton.

Mason Monroe has some weapons around him. They're simply not producing right now. Antrobus lost his shot in about mid-December, and still hasn't found it. Rering played well tonight though.

 

Mason County is a totally different team with Tyler Black. He's good. Very good. Bryan Woods looked a little rusty in his first game back for Pendleton. Black didn't look a bit rusty.

Man, that kid is athletic! He pinned what seemed to be a wide-open Monroe lay-up about halfway up the square on the backboard. He also hit two clutch free throws to seal the game.
