Well, I am from S. Oldham and I think Walton Verona should be ranked above South until South proves otherwise.

I think Walton should be ahead of Dunbar and South Oldham since they have beaten them. Walton's four losses are to all ranked teams (Boone twice, Notre Dame and Owen). Owen County looks about right just because of their questionable strength of schedule and two losses to unranked teams. Also, Ryle might be a little high.

You make an excellent point about which team should be rated higher - no argument here. No other 8th region team is playing better at this time than W-V. However, it is a bit early to be playing at peak performance, with the region tourney approximately two months away. Still, W-V has defintely earned more respect than they have been receiving. On another note, I can't recall a instance in recent years when four teams from the 8th region have been ranked in the top 20. Can anybody else please confirm or correct this comment? Thanks.

Pretty good for this time of the season. Top two teams are the cream of the crop with others nipping at their heels.

Think I would put WV above S Oldham after beating them and giving Clay Co their first loss, playing strong right now.

 

Ryle looks about right at #9. They beat #6 Butler and have only 2 losses in 14 games (against #5 Mercy and #12 Dunbar).

 

Manual does look unstoppable right now; interesting to see how next four games go - all against top 10 teams. What a schedule!
