Region Finals?

Featured Replies

Where can I find who will host the Region Finals?

It depends upon the seeding of the two teams who meet in the regional finals.

If both teams are the same seed (#1 vs #1) then the team from the odd district hosts in the odd years and the team from the even district hosts in the even years.

If the teams are different seeds, then the lower # seed hosts. If #1 plays #3, then the #1 seed would host the game.

How does it work in 6A when you have two #1 seeds and they are both from odd districts?

Cant happen that way in the regional finals.

Yes it can because they draw for the 6A, it is not like other classes where 1 plays 2 and 3 plays 4. This District 1 plays District 3 and District 5 plays district 7 and what about the even districts playing each other, how do they determine this

6A is the oddity. Here's how it works:

If two odd #1s or two even #1s play in the regional final, the lower district hosts in odd years, while the higher district hosts in even years.

For example: District 1-Seed 1 plays District 3-Seed 1 in 2011. Since it is an odd year, then the game would be played at District 1-Seed 1 since, while both are odd, District 1 is the lower number.

Confusing, right?!
