November 7, 201114 yr Pretty crazy to think about this, but if the season ended today we'd be looking at the following playoff matchups: NFC Byes: 1) Green Bay Packers & 2) San Francisco 49ers 3) New York Giants vs. 6) Atlanta Falcons 4) New Orleans Saints vs. 5) Detroit Lions AFC Byes: 1) Cincinnati Bengals & 2) Houston Texans 3) New England Patriots vs. 6) Pittsburgh Steelers 4) Kansas City Chiefs vs. 5) Baltimore Ravens Looking at this is flooring to me if you base it on preseason expectations. The Bengals, 49ers, and Chiefs notably, would appear out of place. Obviously things can and likely will change but if this were the end of the season seedings I doubt anyone would have had that going in.
November 8, 201114 yr The Bears are like 99% on 3rd down tonight. Goodness gracious. On 3rd down I expect a receiver to be open for the catch regardless of the distance.
