They wil be a very good team all around. They're just low on pitching (this means that some underclassmen will have varsity playing time this year).

Harrison County has the best pitcher and catcher in the 10th by far. If they can get some young guys to produce it could be a very succesful year for the breds.

Harrison County has 4 all region players easily in Jordan Martin, Hunter Hill, John King, and Brandon Kendall.

Does anybody know where Shane Fowler from Harrison is now? Didn't he graduate last year? He must be playing somewhere. I saw him in one game last year and he looked like a ballplayer to me.

He is at UK, not playing baseball. I have seen several Harrison County players that were definitely good enough to play college baseball that didn't continue their career, for whatever reason. Eric Sanders is another Harrison County player that graduated last year that had college baseball talent, but isn't playing anywhere.

Harrison County has 4 all region players easily in Jordan Martin, Hunter Hill, John King, and Brandon Kendall.

 

John King is one the young kids that will have to contribute this year for them to be succesful. Paul Jones has the most power out of any batter in the line-up. Jordan Martin and Brandon Kendall are the 1,2 punch of the staff. If they can find the third guy for the rotation they have a good chance of winning the region again.

Scott's standouts are Reed Spata, Pete Ohmer, Kyle Kramer, and Jared Best.

If Harrison County find there 3rd pitcher, they take the region with ease under Coach Whitaker and compete again for the state title.

Ohmer and kramer will carry the load pitching, besides that whose the three and four guys in the rotation? This could be an early problem.

Saw a couple of these guys play this summer and offensively Scott should have no problems, especially with Ohmer adding the long ball to his repertoire.

Seniors Brandon Stamper and Tim Goss will probably round the end of the rotation with junior Jordan Pike being the probable 3rd starter in the rotation.

Sophomores Ray Everett and Ian Adams could also be in the rotation if needed.

Harrison County's defense will be the key if they make it to State. A lot of new young guys will be playing in the infield, and this could be a challenge for the Breds. But they have the best player in the region in Jordan Martin, so they will be tough.
