I saw on the Football ListServ this morning that former Henry County Head Coach Lyndon Johnson had passed from cancer today. We will have Coach Johnson's family as well as the Henry County community in our thoughts and prayers as they go through this time of sadness.

 

I had only met Coach Johnson once last year, but he was very passionate about the Wildcats and seemed to be a very nice man. We will make sure to remember him on this week's broadcast.

What a great ambassador for football and, more importantly, a great dad and a great MAN. The players he coached will be better men for having had him as an influence in their lives. Rest in peace, Lyndon.

Never dealt or met him personally, but from talking to others I knew he was a great person who cared alot for the kids in Henry County, raised money for the football team, coached there, and kept many a boys fed, clothed, and safe no matter their background. Big loss in Henry County.
