Owen County 32 Western Hills 26

Featured Replies

They have played nobody so far, some not very good programs who are even having down years compared to their history, lets see if they beat anyone decent.

I think the win at Bourbon County was a pretty good win for Owen County. Certainly they haven't played a murder's row, but they are having success and their district is filled with opponents they should match up well with. It will be interesting to see how the balance of their season plays out.

I agree gchs_uk9! I am excited to see the rest of their season.

Skilld-Kid...In 2010, Owen won their first 2 games of the season then won their 4th game of the season. Their record ended up being 3-8 for the year.

2010: 3-8

2009: 3-8

2008: 2-9

2007: 1-11 and only scored over 6 points twice that season

2006: 3-7

2005: 2-8

I think you get the point...regardless of who Owen County has played or hasn't played, they are improving. They have beaten every team they have played in the 2011 season so far, what else can you ask for? No one said they are going to win the state championship, just that they are having a good year and have reason to be proud of themselves. I wish the best of luck to the Owen County Rebels and Coach Fowler with the rest of their season!

Well said Pauly D. Good luck to Coach Fowler and the rest of the coaches and the players. They have worked hard and deserve to be proud. They have some good opponents coming up and if they can keep up the intensity and stay focused I expect they will continue to make their fans proud.

I think Owen will benefit from their new district. In my opinion, they are the 1 seed for their district with their stiffest competition coming from Walton Verona. If they are the 1 or 2 seed, they have a shot to win a district game before bowing out.
