It was a really tough game on the road. The major factor in the low score for Central is that they are primarily a running team and had extreme difficulty with Meade's defensive line in the first half. In the second half the Green Wave started to wear down some and the Dragons found more room to run. The D did a good job on Wilson. He still has the numbers (something like 170 yards rushing), but the reality is that he got about 120 on two plays. The game still could have easily been (and in my opinion SHOULD HAVE BEEN) a shutout for Central if not for a bogus roughing the kicker penalty when Meade had missed a field goal attempt. That set Meade up inside the Dragon 10 and they punched it in two plays later.

The Dragons are not really young in age, but are a little young in on the field experience. This was their first road trip of the year, and it was 2 hours to a pretty tough place. I'm not surprised they had some trouble. I think it was good for them to get pushed, especially in the rushing troubles. Under Coach Rogers they have typically improved as the year went on, and I think the losses or tests help push that along. They need a lot of improvement to get on the level of Bowling Green or John Hardin.

Meade has got to find a way to play more than 14 or 15 kids. We will be able to stay with good teams in the first half but the 4th quarter we are out of gas which has been showed our last two games. Thomas Wilson never came out of the game. He led our team in rushing and tackles. Our O line is our D line. Our offensive backfield is our line backer core ect. We have 60 kids on the sidelines. Our schedule will not get any easier. Good job by the WC coach, he kept up with his game plan knowing that Meade was wearing out. The #8 kid for WC is a good player, if WC had kept going to him I think the game would have been further out of reach. Also WC had the ball first and goal with 2 minutes and took a knee four plays. Good sportsmanship by the WC coaching staff, WC could have scored again if they wanted to.
