After week 2 I'm not seeng any teeth in the Bulldogs. What seems to be the problem?

One returning starter on Offense and two on defense. Butler scored after a fake punt gave them a first down and a Personal foul on a DB, coaches were hot at the ref, I couldnt tell, Male also had a first and goal at the one and fumbled and lost the ball, score could have been at least 20-3, but it wasn't. Butler has a very good defense and is well coached. It was also their opening game.
