gold sunrise
Sounds like good one, anyone have any details? Here you go: Wells got off to a fine start Friday night, intercepting Tajh Milliken’s pass with 4:34 left in the fourth quarter to seal the Crimsons’ 23-20 victory over Central on opening night at Manual Stadium. “He made the big play, and that’s what we expect out of our kids,” Manual coach Oliver Lucas said. Senior quarterback Luis Thompson threw two first-quarter touchdown passes and senior Darmontre Warr rushed for 110 yards and a TD as the Crimsons opened their season with a victory for the first time since 2008. Central senior Anthony Wales rushed for 166 yards and three TDs on 18 carries — including an electric 69-yard scoring run in the second quarter — but it wasn’t enough for the Yellowjackets. http://www.courier-journal.com/article/20110819/SPORTS05/308190114/Close-call-Crimsons-Manual-s-Trey-Wells-stymies-Central-late-game-pick-23-20?odyssey=tab|topnews|text|Sports
hrcarrier
Sounds about the way I expected this one to go. I figured Central had a good chance at winning it, but it doesn't sound like they disappointed regardless. It also sounds like Central shouldn't have any problems in 3A, which was likely anticipated by many.
