Nine turnovers and still only losing by two scores? I'd like to know if any team has won a game with that many mistakes.

I think Lloyd fans got a false sense of security after beating a bad Bethel team in a scrimage. I think there new coach will get them going in the right direction.

Hasn't Owen been pretty solid recently at the JV level? I guess its time for those kids to step up to the varsity level. Owen can make some noise in their district this season.

I beg to differ, Lloyd had 7 fumbles that were in the backfield on handoffs or pitches! Owen had the ball inside the 20 three times in first half and scored 0 points. Owen gets the win no doubt and they were the best team Friday night but turnovers were the story of that game, unforced turnovers!

I agree with the fumbles and turnovers but can't believe that is the only thing you can give Owen Co. Regardless of how many unforced turnovers there were, Owen County came to play. Granted, there were times that they had opportunities in the game to score where they didn't capitalize, but no one said they played a perfect game. However, they deserve more credit than they are getting right now. It was a great game and this is the best the Owen has looked in years. Congratulations Rebels!

And I might add that #22 (Williams) forced a fumble and picked it up and ran it in. Also, #11 (McDaniel) scored off an interception.

Obviously Lloyd's offense could use some work and don't be surprised if some kids get moved around before next week's game. You do have to hand it to Lloyd's defense, however. 9 fumbles and the whole team only gave up 28 points. Congrats to OC on their win. This should be an interesting season for both teams.
