How did the teams of the past live without Bluegrass preps or similar sights to live on and constantly talk about themselves.

Mayfield has had a Dynasty for 90 years. Only a hand full of teams in the state of Kentucky and the nation can say that. That's if we're talkin dynasty's . This group thats playing now will be remembered for a long time. I'm talkin the Jackson group and its more than five.

I don't know how to accuretely compare teams from different eras but I do know that this latest Mayfield Squad is as good as there have been in Class A. I do hope ( being a Beechwood Grad 1976) that my Tigers can figure out a way to beat them this year. No offense...

I can tell ya this much, the Mayfield players will definately see anything short of a championship as a disappointment. I think programs like Beechwood and Mayfield will always have there sights on titles, every year, even when it's considered a down year. Just the way it rolls with the top programs.
