Fort Campbell 19 Kenwood (TN) 6 (scrimmage)

Featured Replies

Kenwood beat Fort Campbell 52-34 in the regular season last year.

Fort Campbell move-in Marcus Pratt appears to be a stud for the Falcons, shouldering the workload in the backfield on the night.

We are very pleased to have Marcus Pratt on our team this season. Our freshman QB Jaylen Williams did a pretty good job against live competition. He perfomed well in 7 on 7 formats this summer to include the Vanderbilt 7 on 7 Classic. We were happy to seem him stand up to actual presssure and make some pretty good plays. One fumbled exchange between him and a RB was the only obvious mistake.

Coach McKillip had the defense clicking, would have been a shut-out for the night had it not been for the prementioned fumble that set up Kenwood's only scoring drive.

Where is Hills?

It seemed like they had Hills as a slot receiver or even a second TB in certain packages. Kind of a gutsy move to take an experienced senior QB and replace him with a freshman, but it added one more threat on the field and looked like a good move to me based on their scrimmage results. Also, to echo what FalconBacker said, the defense played very well. They swarmed to the ball, played tough in the trenches, and put a lot of pressure on the QB.

I echo everything that's been said.

The Falcon defense looked good on Friday night. There were a few kinks that will be worked out, but....it's early in the season and mistakes happen.

The offense clicked well. Freshman QB, Jalen Williams well......If his parents can stay at Fort Campbell, I think he's got a bright future as a Falcon.

Later.

Where is Hills?
Reminds me of how Antwan Randle-El is utilized in the offense.

Do we know how good Kenwood is supposed to be this year and how that translates into the strength of the 2011 Falcons vs. the last few years?

Kenwood is projected to be near the bottom of 5A in Tennessee this year. They only dressed 31 players for the scrimmage.

Aaron Hills scored a TD receiving in the scrimmage. Coach Berner has Hills playing in several different positions in the offense. He is still the best athelete on the field with Marcus Tucker a close second. Having Marcus Pratt as a dominate RB really helps open the passing game for our freshman QB. Hills also anchors the defensive backfield at free safety.
