6. Corbin (11-3) Redhounds jump from 2A to 3A contender.

7. Fort Campbell (5-7)Falcons, up from 2A, might reassert themselves.

8. Elizabethtown (4-8) QB Kyle Todd will air it out for Panthers.

9. Breathitt Co. (8-5) Bobcats trying to claw back as a contender.

10. Sheldon Clark (6-6) Cards have beaten Belfry 2 of last 3 times.

I feel that 3a just got a lot tougher with Corbin, Ft Campbell, Monroe moving up from 2a and a couple teams moving down from 4a. Is this the new 2a level of competition...:jump:

I think so too. It should be a great season. Can't wait until kickoff.

I think you are exactly right! 3A just became legit - for the last several years the 2A Champ could easily have been the 3A champ. Corbin, Monroe, Bell and FC really bring the level of competition up in 3A.

That is a bit of a generalization ... Central had some teams that would have been awfully tough to beat, as did Fort Campbell. Aside from those programs, 2A was probably every bit as good as 3A.

Really surprised Monroe Co didn't make the Top 10.
