Timmons goes to Franklin County. I haven't seen him on the AAU circuit and I believe that goes into it because Demling can only see so many kids. Having said that, Timmons is very good, but isn't a no brainer Top 25. If he has improved his jump shot, then I will change my mind and say he is Top 15, maybe higher. But, please don't miscontrue my comments, he is a heck of a player and I can think of another 10-15 kids in the class that could make a case for getting ranked.

 

Of course, from what I understand, basketball is not even his future sport. Didn't Demling rank him pretty high in his football rankings?

 

You've seen him play Rainman, and you are right about him not having a stellar jump shot, but he has absolutely given kids like #3 Hawkins from MC fits. Timmons has to rank in the top 5 as far as speed, quickness, and explosiveness. He defense can be unreal, he can flat out get to the rim, and he can make free throws (shoots a bunch). Yes he is football first, but also a lot of fun to watch on the hardwood. Three sport transfer Logan Woodside will be a great addition to FC. Friday night lights at FC should be interesting with Woodside at QB and Timmons at tailback

I agree with everything you say above. Lack of exposure on the AAU circuit is the biggest reason for him being omitted IMO. But, he is also not a no brainer Top 25.

Never said he was a no brainer, but I will say I have watched alot of High School Basketball and Demling's lists always have several listed you could say that same thing about. Just my opinion.

Before Monroe, Palmer and Coston should be Nick Jackson. Quan and BJ are two great players but Jackson also fills a leadership role.
