July 19, 201115 yr Author Mays, Bonds, Bonds, Dawson, ARod, Vlady...You added two more. Bobby Bonds and Andrew Dawson. Here are their stats. Bobby Bonds: 332 HR's, 461 SB's Andrew Dawson: 438 HR's, 314 SB's Vladdy only has 179 SB's. Two more left.
July 19, 201115 yr Cobb is correct at .366 If you believe that Ty Cobb had 4,191 hits (Remember Pete's record hit was 4192) then his career average is .367 . Somehow it has gone down by 2 hits in some record books. Not sure why.
July 19, 201115 yr 7 players in MLB history are members of the 300/300 club (300 HR's and 300 SB's). Name them. Not sure so I am going to throw out several possible names and maybe I will get it: Carlos Beltran, Eric Davis (although I am pretty sure he is around 250 HR's), Marquis Grissom, maybe Hank Aaron?, Steve Finley, Bobbie Abreu ... let's see if any of those stick and then I will try to think of a few more if not.
July 19, 201115 yr Finley is correct... The other guy has had one of the quietest really really good careers around.

Finley is the only one correct. His stats are: Steve Finley: 304 HR's, 320 SB's Beltran is most likely the next guy to make the list as he is currently at 294 HR's and 292 SB's. Davis only had 282 HR's. Grissom only has 227 HR's. Aaron only had 240 SB's. Abreu only has 279 HR's right now.
July 19, 201115 yr Finley is correct... The other guy has had one of the quietest really really good careers around. Hmmmm...Abreu fits that description but I just guessed him. But that clue knocks out two or three others I was thinking of. I would say Andruw Jones but I am pretty sure he is low on the SB, maybe just 200 or so. I'll go with a Reds connection and guess Vada Pinson, one of the most underrated Reds of all time IMO. Is it him?

July 19, 201115 yr And I didn't believe it until I checked out the list, but Reggie Sanders is in that club as well.
